That child is nightmare fuel. The worst thing about DNF is that you can really see the years of pissed away development in the inconsistent visuals. It also didn't help matters that DNF launched with Unreal Engine 1... in 2011... which is insane. We were seeing UE3 games as the norm at that point.

Fallout 3 looks like someone puked onto a concrete wall and they decided to make that the texture for everything. I would also say either KOF14 or Splatoon. I don't think either are bad but both give me that early Nickelodeon 3d animation vibe.

Between the 10fps framerate, heavy fog, 90s-style digitized sprites, jerky animation, ultra-low-res textures, and muddy color palette, it's like a perfect storm of horrible visuals. It's so hideous it wraps back around to being cool again.

Are you guys being serious? All 3 Spyro PS1 games used the same engine and aesthetics. If you really think thats some of the "ugliest are direction my eyes have had the displeasure of seeing", you really need to play more games.

Lol jesus man, why would I want to play more games just so I know more games that have uglier art direction. The colours used clash like shit and style is hideous in Spyro 3. I just don't like. Y'know, opinions and stuff.

Yikes, I don't remember this being so ugly. I bought the shareware version on a floppy disk and I thought it was awesome when I was like 12.

The UIs they did for Nesticle and Genecyst are also incredibly ugly.

GTA V is a truly ugly game. The satire is of the lowest, more surface and juvenile quality and the misanthropic pervasive misogyny and stereotyping isn't clever. As GS said in their review, the game is "politically muddled and profoundly misogynistic." It's telling that gamers were so offended by this review that a petition was made to request the reviewer be fired. Blegh. The game is the definition of hateful fiction.
