Now they're going to show Indie Game The Movie right after this, which is pretty cool to put on TV even if everyone here has already seen that.
Are we staying for Indie Game: The Movie, lads?
I'll give you Halo, but i don't see why Gears should have been mentioned. No Gears of War or Halo either.
Some odd omissions from this list.

Yes, it is.

What kind of list?
I totally missed it.
Hell, the fact that something like that would be mentioned would probably mean that MGS2 would be among the influential titles. It's just a shame that it (or the other games) didn't get even a mention on the show.I know it is in chronological order.
The point was what you even include in the list.
Might as well go 'LIFE IS A GAME' for 1 and be done with it
Matt Lees was a writer on the show?
It ... shows.
I haven't.

I feel like they could have mentioned RPGs more, both Western and Japanese - it seemed like sandbox got way more focus.
Where was God of War for impacting us with QTEs?
Where was FFVII for making FMVs popular?
Where was FFVII for making FMVs popular?
Games started using cover after it.
I know it wasn't the first but it's the one most remember.
Where did Halo end up, it always makes these kinds of list.

Not exactly a big deal tbh.Games started using cover after it.

Then why did Last of Us get the #2 spot?Night Trap, bro.
Not sure why people are annoyed by MGS. They already mentioned the importance of storytelling with adventure games like Monkey Island.
Being able to lean behind a wall doesn't "change the world".
Not. Even. Final Fantasy.
Well damn.
The list could have done with a few more entries.
Full list for anyone who missed most of it?
Also Britain wasn't really into JRPGs for years so the "big two", Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, only had their impact with the 8th and 7th iterations of their series respectively.Yup. Were any RPGs talked about? I guess the problem would be what you'd pick. Fallout is a bit too niche, and the problem with Final Fantasy or the Elder Scrolls would be which one you'd pick.
For a two hour show, it felt very rushed, specially in the last decade or so. Another 15-25 minutes would have been good.
I guessed Last of Us would be on it given they had the Naughty Dog guy on earlier. Though given the nature of this list it's probably a bit premature to gauge it's influence yet.

Is that right?
Well, if Twitter's a game, I'm about to make it Dark Souls levels of hard.
