Right, I'm done for the night. G'night all, hoping for a parliament that's interestingly hung in the morning, but we'll see.

Phillipa Stroud, the conservative candidate who was involved in that gay cure controversy a few days ago, failed to win the seat from the lib-dem candidate, getting only 1.7% swing. Even as a conservative supporter, i can't say i'm too disappointed, especially since Burstow has always done a pretty good job.

Stroud just voted out the 3rd best value MP in the country. Can't fucking believe this. Going to sleep now, can't bear anymore. Just strengthened my resolve to get the fuck out of this country after University.

"Democracy is the worst system of government, apart from all the others that have been tried", so damn true :(

The worst thing is I've just passed my driving test so I don't even have any ID to go get pissed with tomorrow.

will gently cradle you as time slowly ticks away.
So we've had a plane and an automobile being followed by the BBC, now all we need is a train.

Conservatives basically have half of the seats declared at the moment, it keeps bouncing back and forth

It's going to be to the wire methinks. I wouldn't want to bet on which way this is going to play out.

200/1 on a Liberal Democrat Majority :lol

I'll take those odds!

Scotland:

43% of the vote is for Labour.

If Scotland were to split from the Union, would that essentially doom labour to opposition for a generation in the same way that pr would do to the Tories?

Clegg was unhappy puppy on sky just now.

Not surprising, he was expecting some major shift to LD, what he got was a load of seats falling just short of taking or holding them.
