My job is to do whatever job the directors, producers and managers need me to do on whatever TV show I'm a part of at the time. Think of me like a runner, except I do real work rather than making tea and coffee.

My job title officially is 'Researcher' but the moments when I actually get to do some research (which also have their own deadlines...) are few and far between.

Where did the alleged remarks take place? If on the pitch then it absolutely should be a full public spectacle to set an example of how this shit aint good.

If in private then yeah, keep it private (unless found guilty in which case tar and feather)
