Yeah no worries, chap.

Just make a list of what you DEFINITELY want to be able to do on your laptop, then another list of things that would be cool but you don't definitely need.
Any preference on screen size, weight?
Ideal budget/absolute budget?

We'll find something cool for ya.

Excellent! You're a gentleman and a scholar. I'll probably send a PM your way in the next 48 hours.

My characters are on erm.. Fisherman's Landing? Or something like that, I forget now it's been over a week since I've been able to play.

Played a lot of WoW and tried a fair few other MMOs so I guess I'm somewhat clued up on it, though GW2 is something very new I think I figured most of it out in the week I've had with it.

Ahh, I'm on the GAF recommended EU server - have completely forgotten which, but it's not Fisherman's Landing.

Ahh well - I might move 'em over depending how GAFGuild goes

Vied for a tag related to cocks, so here it is.
It's especially fun nowadays, given it's the start of a new year. Our night involved a lot of seeing freshers collapse into the pillows near the back. :lol

Still, I do wonder what some people think they've gotten themselves into when they come here and eye up their options for a night out. Haven't been to Tokyo in a while, but if Camel's better than it now... yeesh.

When I was home for summer i didn't even do one night out in town, in general it's just shite.
Went drinking plenty, Parish, Zephyr, Grove, etc. But not like a night out.

I'm in (at least I hope i'm still in it) a guild from /vg/ on 4chan (yeah i know i know) but they are a surprisingly helpful mostly friendly bunch. I have mates from RL that I play with on there in that guild.

That's the sound of me judging you :p

Sounds good - I'll see if I have fun with GAFGuild over the next couple of weeks and if it's lacking, I'll move over to your server :)

Holy shit guys! Wii U! It has games! Good ones! :lol

I'm not generally a night out person, but given the company I keep and the time of the year, it's hard to avoid. Not that I'm complaining- my tastes are incredibly undiscerning when it comes to this kind of thing. I've only ever known shit nights out.

Italian bloke was just in the office, didn't speak a word of English. Fortunately, I was able to ascertain that he wasn't in the right office and send him on his way. Didn't have to break out the old fail safe, "Sprechen sie Deutsch? Parlez vous Francais?"

Kinda tempted for Rayman Legends and ZombiU but everything else I'm interested in is on PC.

I'm desperately trying not to be excited for it because every console I buy gets played for a while and then shelved whilst I play on my PC...

I believe the Italian phrase is 'baba-de-boopie'. I saw it on a documentary.

Don't buy it. My console gaming peasant arse will love it though. :p

Monster Hunter 3U was a nice surprise- it wasn't like Bayonetta 2, which almost made me fall off my chair, but it's one of those "oooooh!" announcements that, even if you don't play or get MH, you gotta appreciate the importance of.

See, even though I never played Bayonetta, the fact that Nintendo are willing to pay for the sequel speaks volumes about how they're trying hard with this system.

Maybe in a year or two I'll jump on board. Actually, as soon as the first 3D Mario or any kind of Zelda/Metroid is shown I'll probably start to cave. We'll see

TBH, I'm kinda bummed about Bayo 2 being exclusive. I wouldn't mention it on gaming side because I don't want to piss in anyone's Cheerios but I wish it was multiplat. I have no intention of buying a Wii-U so I'll have to miss out.

Oh well!

My money is it being a timed exclusive. I'm sure they'll be able to find a publisher to put it out on other platforms.

I, too, am looking for a new PC. Pre-built (yeah, yeah) in the £800-900 range ideally. Biggest concerns are getting the best graphics card bang for my buck (while not skimping on PSU, cooling, etc.) Any recommendations, resident UK PC experts?

I'm not sure if you'd be able to squeeze it into the budget of a prebuilt, but you'd comfortably fit a 670 in if you took the plunge to build it yourself.

This video was an excellent refresher for me since it had been a while since I put my last build together.

Otherwise for sticking with prebuilt this thread is your friend!

Gimme a PM if you want a bit of help, or just head over to the PC building thread - plenty of options, good sir :)

I'm feeling pretty fucking good right now. I'm mostly the warehouse guy and do a lot of the lower level IT stuff here, as we have another, main IT guy who does everthing.

He's been a bit of an unreliable Jeremy (looking for other jobs, blowing off responsibilities here, and finally has taken 2 weeks off for 'stress' following a dressing down from the managers) so I've been taking over some of the main IT stuff.

I got a new user set up on our system today with all the specialist software which nobody could figure out how to get working - got all her domain stuff sorted blah blah blah

Nothing I shouldn't be able to easily do, but it's the first time I've been given the chance to have a crack at it and I've managed it happily. Along with that, I set up a server on my own for the first time yesterday (have done plenty of hardware bits like building them before and small software stuff like setting up a RAID and an OS, but not the whole thing)

So yeah... feeling rather positive for a change!

You should go on a pie binge, confuse your body and then go running. Might work?

lol yeah I certainly feel like doing that!

Your body will hit it's "ideal" weight, plus what does "dieting" mean?

3 stone is amazing, frankly you might need to step it up to burn off that last bit, our bodys are funny and all work differently.

Your diet needs to be constant as well, I assume it is (not stopping and starting)? I cut out as many carbs as I could and upped the fruit and veg intake, along with workouts I tend to drop a pound a week, which is ideal really as it's slow but I will hit my ideal weight and it will stabilise and I can sustain it permanently.

Nah I've been sticking to it pretty well since the start. Been doing slimming world with the wife but as she hit her target, I've carried on doing it. I just seem to hover where I am now, even though I've started running a few weeks ago.

Maybe I'm not eating enough and so my body is going into starvation mode, or some shit.

You don't have a bike yet why would anyone call you the cycler.

Sorry, this post is coming off very anti-Kentpaul.
Love you really, mang.

I was in Halfords last week getting new tires and a service on my bike and they had some fucking beautiful bikes for over a grand. Would've literally sucked off the dude serving me if he promised to give it to me for free

Don't buy bikes from Halfords guys seriously.

This.

Find yourselves a local bike shop guys. Or better still, pick up something at a local auction house, strip it down and rebuild it yourself - there's nothing quite so satisfying. Plus, if you are as incompetent as I was first time I did it, there's the spice of added danger!

My local auction house when I lived in Bedford had a weekly sale of "Eggs, Rabbits and Bicycles" (no, I have no idea why these particular things were lumped together, but it is a phrase that has stuck with me all these years) and I picked up some real bargains.

HOLY SHIT

Just watched the last episode of Series 3 Breaking Bad. So fucking tense! Aaaarrrggghhh really want to start watching Series 4 but the bloke says it's too late.

SKINNER!

Wii-U Premium for £300 at Amazon. Ha-ha-ha-ha :| I'll give it one month before it drops down to £200

Edit: must also remember to keep my mouth shut about Breaking Bad this weekend in case I spoil it for Musha and end up sleeping in a cardboard box outside.

Fucking hell.

A guy I know has been working 17 hour shifts recently.

I really don't know how anyone could do that.

I feel the same for people who work 12 hour shifts. 8 hours is enough for me. In a perfect world 4 to 6 hour shifts would be amazing.

Thanks to smokys bso teachings I have learned a decent bike is out of my reach this week.

Thanks for saving me a good two hundred quid that I would nave spend on a better looking bso.

I will now go to sleep depressed since my hype for buying a bike tomorrow has been destroyed.
