Yes you can redeem your GFWL/retail code on Steam. Also, there's an unintended side effect of allowing GFWL/retail keys to be redeemed on Steam. If you check your "CD Key" in Steam game library page you'll notice that they give you a different key other than the one you redeemed. In other words, they give you a spare "Steam key." I gave my spare key (from Steam) to a friend and he was able to redeem the game on Steam.

ALL GFWL/retail keys work on Steam, including the ones that came from a Steam copy. Free SSF4 AE for everyone as long as you pass on your [spare] key.

If anyone bought it on Steam and can hook me up with their code I'd be super appreciative!

It was pretty much that or nothing since Microsoft doesn't have pre-orders on their digital store like Sony and Steam do. I give them credit for doing something at least.

Edit: Well, Amazon would have been nice, but it appears Gamestop is just selling it as $15 Microsoft credit+ the costume code, so it might not have been attractive to retailers for such a short term offering. Maybe Gamestop is the only one who would bite.

I agree, most of the character themes are good, some are really really good, like, how can you not like Makoto's theme? Sakura's?

Can combo into slide from a cr.short, cr.strong is now special cancellable, n.jump MP causes juggle, non oiled 360's have better range, he can f.rh into knockdown unoiled and more. His only nerf comes from adding delayed wake up. His incredibly strong set up game won't be nearly as good but whatever. Look at those buffs.

pretty sure level 3 focus absorbs hits all the way til the end, but you'd be interrupted and counterhit if you released on level 2. same mechanic happens for 1 hit absorbtion for AE2012 i think

That theme change to that remix made ZERO sense to me outside of a Ryu v. Akuma story mode match. Just one of those "WTF??" decisions capcom made going from vanilla to super.
