It's already been delayed enough times, I WANT TO PLAY IT FFS!

...is eventually good!!!

Literally THOU. SANDS. of great games to play before then, my fellow video game players!
My wallet has, through sheer force of will and emotion, become sentient and it now opens and closes on its own when laid on a flat surface, as if it were prostrating itself before you, praising you with gratitude, NAUGHTY Goddesses, Druckmann-san, and the honorable Straley-sempai-desu ne.
WE ALL should be happy for this glorious DELAY, graciously bestowed upon us!
April was going to be crowded as a mother, a father, a sister and a brother.
My backlog thanks yoooou, NAUGHTY Goddesses, Druckmann-san, and the venerable Straley-sempai-desu ne, GOMENASAI!
This will give me more time to finish up Ratchet and Clank, which is essentially the same type of game as Unhcarted, so it will scratch the exact same itch.
Take all the time you need to make it good, NAUGHTY Goddesses.
Also gives me time to beat previous Uncharted games that I have played, BUTT ASS they are so ~great~, my desire for UC4 can be satiated by replaying these!!!!! ^3^

A bad game is bad forever.

The game will (supposedly) release in May and that will be that. If this was another extensive delay, sure, but it is 2 weeks. 2 weeks.

Throw around some Ubi art jokes and call it a night. :P

That was quite unfortunate. This game has had quite a rough going, with the writer jumping ship, the VA leaving, the delays, and of course the whole Ubi thing. I'm sure the game is going to be great nonetheless.

So, has ANY other game in history ever been pushed back because too much demand?

I mean, I'd imagine Sony would've loved to use an underprint as an opportunity to push Digital, unless they're afraid of getting the kind of flak Nintendo gets for underprinting to push the eShop.

There's gotta be something else going on here. Not something big or of particular note, but I think there's a bit more at play than just making enough physical copies to meet demand - Considering my previous point and previous evidence that Sony loves to push Digital wherever possible for them.

But if you know there are x amount of playstations out there then you know roughly how many discs to press beforehand. I would have thought a group specifically forecasts demand weeks before release.

There's no point in arguing, Arne is just going to keep doing his job and give us the PR answers.

I think at this point it gets kind of hard to believe them when they say a new date. They've done that 4 times now. Gettin a bit old.

The only problem with Uncharted 4 is that there is literally TOO much demand.

Got damn the closer we get the more it gets delayed ! I love you Nuaghty Dog, you're the best but get your shit together.

It's obviously regarding the online component and server stability. Pre-orders must be really good.

If the delay is due to the online component and server stability, I feel it would have been more prudent to announce a delay following the beta testing that's going live this weekend.

Pre-orders must definitely be looking pretty good.

Oh well it makes it a bit easier for me to spread my game purchases around. I'm ponying up cash for Dirt Rally in April already I think. And Uncharted won't be cheap. So I'm happy that I can take it out of my May wages and not April. Swings and roundabouts. Shame for all thoae really hyped for it. I'm sort of not really mentally prepared for the next game brought to us by the same folk who made TLOU.

I'M NOT READY!!!

Wow, Sony and ND have really dropped the ball with the release date for this game. It's just embarrassing. I mean did Sony just realize that U4 would sell a ton of copies or something? lol. Well at least it will give us more time to play other games. Really surprised that a flagship title could have this many issues with it's release date though.

Oh well. Ratchet and Clank. Then playing R&C will probably get my juices flowing to knock one or two games out of the backlog in the meantime.

Can't sell copies if it's sold out.

Naw, everyone trusts ND.

Its just, extra manufacturing time? I've personally never heard of that before. I think thats why everyone is just like "wtf?"

I think you usually see or sometimes hear about the opposite, if at all -- compressing manufacturing time to hit a particular release (say console launch, I know because I was in one of those situations way back when). That usually ends up with "can't find X game" in stock at y retailer until the next shipment. Anyway.

Failing to see how extra manufacturing time = something is rotten. Shawn's post lays it out how it is.

Three separate delays for a game from a studio that was previously known for hitting their release dates (with the exception of TLoU seeing a single delay) is an indication to me of at the very least poor management. Three separate delays is straight up something you would expect from small inexperienced studios not cornerstone first party studios. Regardless of the reasons behind these delays seeing a major hallmark studio delay a game three separate times seems pretty damn suspect to me.

Did anyone actually read the blog post?

It literally says it's delayed because they need more manufacturing time.

That can easily be taken as a bad excuse to delay the game.

It might be true, but that sounds better than "we need to delay the game yet another time to make it as good it can be".

"To make sure more people can play it on Day 1" is a weird way to put it. They're making it so nobody can play it on 'Day 1' and are releasing it on 'Day 14'. :)

Nooooo... Oh wait, I'll be on summer break by then, I guess it's better than it releasing on the week before finals. Well better for me lol
