UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection October 28th PC Patch Release Notes
  • General stability & performance improvements
  • Updated mouse control to use raw input data
  • Removed frame rate dependency for mouse camera sensitivity
  • Updated HDR option to be grayed out instead of hidden when HDR support is not detected or enabled via Windows
  • Improvements to motion blur visibility
NOTE: Motion blur’s effectiveness decreases at higher frame rates.
Very good news they didn’t forget about this and drop the game wonder how much it improved

With a 2070S, at 1440p, DLSS Quality, max settings, I'm getting an average around 100 FPS. Most of the time above the 100 fps.
I left the game compile all shaders before starting to play, so I get no stutters.
So performance wise, it's good.
Sadly there is no option to disable chromatic aberration and Depth of field. And the motion blur slider doesn't seem to completely disable motion blur. So image quality is lacking.
But the big issue is the broken mouse controls. Anyone wanting to play this on PC with a mouse, better wait for a patch that really fixes things.

UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves November 16th Patch Notes

  • Added support for older CPUs without AVX2 feature support
    • If an older CPU is detected the title will switch to a fallback executable, either u4-l.exe or tll-l.exe
    • Note: This method allows users with newer CPUs to still benefit from AVX2 support without impact to their performance
  • Mouse Improvements
    • Additional fixes to prevent loss of camera control for users in windowed mode
    • Additional fixes to camera behavior while strafing
    • Improved camera speed in photo mode at higher framerates
  • Stability Improvements
    • Fixed a crash from choosing not to delete a corrupted save file
    • Changed GPU driver version notification to allow users to skip the warning without updating
    • Enabled a command line option to change the shader cache directory from the default location in C:\ProgramData (see HOW TO CHANGE SHADER CACHE LOCATION below)
  • Updated motion blur correctness at up to 8k resolution

I uninstalled and watched ending on youtube. Game was boring as fuck and I couldnt handle it anymore. Stupid parkour with 0 skill required, kill some stupid soldiers standing around an area that should be undiscovered for 500 years. Rinse and repeat.

Only thing the game has got.going for it are the graphics. Amazing looking game.

Did they add 16k support? I feel like the 4090 could do 16k at 30fps

Still baffles me that this won so many GOTY awards. Gaming journos have such an inferiority complex they think they're high-minded by praising "narratively complex" games. Uncharted 4 is poorly paced with too many boring as fuck sections, mind-numbingly dumb climbing, and not enough action. It ramps up at the end of the game but by that point, you've been so bored that you probably dropped it.

Some guys counted something like 58% gameplay, 34% cutscenes, and the rest was other shit. That's during the first four hours.

lol you guys don;t know shit about gaming and immersion.
I finished this game like 5 times.
You gotta get into it. It's not all cutscenes. The game is almost 20 hours long

Someone who sat through this borefest 5 times isn't qualified to tell anyone they know nothing about gaming.

No, it's not all cutscenes. It's also tons of climbing, walking, and just standing around. The mansion part later in the story is a fucking joke.

I'm on the same situation.
Combat and stealth are mediocre. But exploration, design, music and the adventure are good.
But the thing that's killing the game for me, are the characters. Natham and Elena are fun and their chemistry is heart warming.
But Sam is unlikable. Rafe is very boring. Nadine is a terrible character all around. Somehow, they managed to make Sully boring in tis game.
Having Sam tagging along for so much time, just drags the game down. And with Rafe and Nadine being so mediocre, there isn't a a cool foil for Natham
Another thing that drags the game down, is the cliché of the bad guys always finding out where we are and stealing the glory, just at the last moment.
Compared to Uncharted 2, and even Uncharted 3, this 4th game is a huge let down.

And the cherry on top is the constant screw ups, by Iron Galaxy. Every patch is two steps forward, one step back.

You know there is such a thing like atmosphere and immersion?
Go play call of duty if this is boring.
don't tell me if I am qualified or not lol wtf is that.

Just don't be a fucking stub and open a bit to different experiences. not everything has to be 100% action. The game is about characters and story

I have it on PS4, bought it on PC to support "the cause", tbh I paid nothing for it as I used my mobile credit to pay. However on PS4 the 2-3 hours I played was just mega dull, maybe it picks up afterwards but it's a bit shocking for a hailed as great premium PS title to be so dull in its intro, Spiderman, GOW really suck you into the atmosphere in the first 30 mins.

I can't get the Epic store version working on steamdeck yet so I've yet to see the PC version.

Games like Bloodborne and Bioshock shit all over Uncharted in atmosphere and immersion without wrestling control away from the player.

Oh, really?

Maybe don't start with this next time?

I'm open to different experiences, I'm not open to boredom which is what this game delivers in spades. The story is also shit-tier and the characters as mentioned above are garbage for the most part. Not that the gameplay is terrible, it's quite fun when they give you a nice playground for combat but ND fancies themselves as Hollywood directors (and they can't write for shit) so they're more interested in heavy-handed storytelling than letting the game do the talking for them.

No one needs 16K. That resolution is completely unnecessary for common users.
I’m not talking about now I’m talking about for future gpus could be great if you play on a projector or a screen more than 100 inches (some TVs are now that size)

Then why do you barge into the discussion like a smug asshole going "lol, you guys don't know shit about games"? It just so happens a lot of us don't care for wandering around for 45 minutes and hold forward with a jump section here and there to break the monotony.

You like monotone sections where the player has almost no agency. I don't.

its a decent game..not good. its the worst in the series and many say the same thing. its not top naughty dog at all, far from it.
The game is so far above the trilogy, it's crazy to me.
And I replayed the trilogy twice in last 3 years :p
Maybe You have better memory of those games but after doing the trilogy, I really appreciate the more somber, serious tone and attention to detail and atmopshere in 4.
Of course the trilogy got it's own vibe but 4 had to grow up like that. It was the right choice

I finished Unchrated 4 (it's better second time on PC), however is the DLSS responsible for that shitty smoke/fire effects, they fucking suck

Just tried it last night, looks better on PC than most recent "nextgen" releases and it's a ps4 game. PS5 only game on PC someday will be crazy

Out of curiousity all the PC haters in here, is this your first Uncharted? I've replayed the entire series twice over and whilst 4 has its issues, when you've followed these characters from the 1st game it really does make the thing so much better, I view them as old school indy type adventures and by fuck UC4 gives us some great locales to adventure round, some of the levels are truly sights to behold but like I said if you know the characters it really does add to these games

I've bought the game yesterday on Steam, i've heard it supports Dualsense on PC? I bought a Dualsense some time ago so i'm happy the game supports it.

Almost every game that supports Dulashock will work with Dualsense now. but usually without the haptic triggers and onboard speaker/mic. I've been using my Dualsense as my primary PC controller since PS5 released.

I also bought a Dualsense Edge (the pro controller) but the extra buttons fuck it up and I have a lot of issues with that controller with a lot of games, unfortunately. I bought it because stick drift is so bad in OG Dualsenses, but if you take it apart and clean it, you can fix drift yourself.

Really? I have to check out other games that support Dualsense on PC, probably mostly Sony's PC ports, though.

I play almost all of my PC games with controller, even the shooters, and it's the only controller I use. Steam even has compatibility for it and you can use Steaminput for games that don't support it directly.

Like I said, you won't get the haptic triggers or speaker/mic functionality, but the controller works plug and play style, and vibration works too.

It's a shame that Microsoft doesn't develop their own Dualsense type controller, it would be awesome to have more games supported with this technology.
