It'll definitely help. It'll sell a good bunch of PS4s. The combo with the other upcoming big JRPGs will hopefully start a good chain reaction.

This game is about more than making money, it's about proving that Final Fantasy can be good again- that Squeenix is capable of making good games again. If it fails to make a profit on its own but is critically successful and sells a lot of copies, it'll still be a success for them, because it will pull the FF/Squeenix brand out of the dumpster they fell into in the last generation.
Not that they don't care about budgets and money at all here, of course. Just saying that there's a reason why they're spending so much money on it.
