It's challenging, but I don't think it's too tough. Stock up on some health items.

Mmmk, I'm not far enough to just buy health items whenever I want, but I'm assuming I'll get there.
If you never use the fight command, you will never gain exp and never level up. So yes.
Minor spoiler on difficulty scaling:
Enemy damage is based on your level. The higher your level,the higher the damage you take to counteract your increased HP. It's not 1 to 1, the game is easier at a higher level, but level 1 for a fight compared to level 10 is not a huge difficulty spike

And some parts of the game need to be put under spoilers for what they do in-game. Sorry if you don't like it but there are others who are trying the game for their first time as well.

Someone earlier spoiled something in responding to my post, I don't mind stuff being in spoiler tags, but I hadn't gotten to the point they were talking about, and since they were directly responding to me about I clicked it thinking it was important information I should know. I don't normally care about spoilers, but people seem to stress how important going in blind is for this game.

Nope, pretty much everyone else (including you btw, thanks) was helpful. I overreacted a bit, but it is kind of annoying to ask for help/clarification about something and get a huge spoiler in return.

Finished my first playthrough, only died twice

Bummed that the crash part got taken out, but completely understand why. Loved that they kept the essay question in the Mettaton boss fight though.
Was sort of bummed out that the dynamic border didn't do more. Was expecting more shenanigans especially during the Mettaton shows.

There was a first wave that was supposed to be out by launch that sold out really quick, then a second bigger wave targeted for December.
Beat the game three times,

EDIT: Never mind. seems that
Neutral, Pacifist, and Genocide.
So, after doing the Genocide run, the screen is black and simply has hollow sounds coming out, like a windy mountaintop or waves on the ocean. Pressing buttons does nothing. Exiting out of the game does nothing. Do I have to wait for the restoration of the world, or am I SOL and have to completely delete my game?
Any help on the above would be appreciated.

Read Digital Foundry on Sonic or play Mother Russia Bleeds in 2160/60. These kind of games can have far superior IQ in terms of purity and precision than 3D games.

Its a pixelated game that doesn't need it in Toby Fox's view. There has been no news on regards to that.

Performance wise the game is a 1:1 perfect port, don't see how anything could be improved in the pro.
It's a pixelated game. The only reason pixel games sometimes get like a 2% increase in clarity is because they move to integer scaling on 4k. People are getting crazy about this.
a 240p game doesn't scale exactly into 1080p, but it does scale exactly into 4k, so you get a tiny bit better clarity. It would also look 100% just as good at 720p.
Now go ahead and ruin that ending. ;D

hearing the monsters talk about the first human and Asriel and just what they went through, plus the fact that the monsters just want to be free, made me feel overwhelmingly sad. Cause at the end, I'm the one standing in their way. And they don't realize it.

That is one of the most bittersweet and affecting moments in a video game for me. I already loved that song before I even played the game, and in learning more about the song I had also spoiled that for myself. But seeing it all together in context moved me to tears. I'm still in awe of how hard that still managed to hit me, and I can't listen to that song without tearing up a little now.
