How many more Californians would have been out for Obama?

That said IF we went pure pop vote there would be a few issues.

Electronic vote tampering/voter suppression is easier when there are 50 states that people are actually campaining in. Noone would ever bother pulling this shit in RI or TX now but if pop vote? Just might.

COST Billion dollars each when most of their campaigning was in a dozen states? How much does this go up in cost if they have to campaign nation wide?

Personally my biggest bummer is the performance of Johnson/Stein. I would gladly elect both over Obama or Romney and really hoped some of the unhappy Ds/Rs in non battleground states would vote third party to show this unhappiness but I guess not
