It seems like his speech is reinforcing what I thought he would do during his second term. Drop the hammer and do what he really wants to. I really hope we see him push forward hard.

So will the Republican Party finally modify its position(s) like people seem to say it has to, or will it just double-down even more?

Nifty AND saffron-colored!
God dammit lady the president is talking, get that flag out of your hair, it's distracting as hell.

PROS: OBAMAAAAAAAAA
CONS: GOP will get even crazier now. I'm not saying every GOP stance is crazy at all, but... they will get crazier.

The GOP is more insane than I thought If you're right.
They lost this election because of their extremism. If they want 2016 they need to move a lilttle slight bit to the center.

Within ten minutes of the election being called, FOX news was saying that Romney lost because he was too liberal. What do you think?

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens. I think you're probably right, and so does Fox, but the country obviously yearns for a center-right party. No doubt about it, their demographic is in a precipitous state. To go further right would just be giving it to the Dems in 2016 and possibly 2014 depending on how the next two years go.

Obama talking about America's greatness, and self-determination, and not wanting things done for us...

Yeah, he's jumped the shark. Bed time.

How can you not love this guy right now? So glad he is our President.

I though you were a fellow Brit!

He's a great speaker though isn't he?
I wish we had some politicians in the UK as passionate as Obama. I actually believe what Obama is saying and also believe the conviction with which he's speaking. I also genuinely believe Obama's conviction to making the US a better country and the world a better place. I could be wrong about him (I wrote to Jim'll Fix It when I was a young'un) but I think Obama's a genuine guy.

All this and weed legalisation? Good work!
