I read the watcher chapter, and my god, if what i think is correct, George is genius. So Tyene (sand snake) will go to the Septa and move things against Cersi. I think that it was her who got Cersi screwed and got the kingsguard to confess that he was screwing Cersi, and plotting to get the little queen killed. Pretty amazing is this is true.

'I love all my viewpoint characters, Arya and Sansa and Bran, Jon Snow and Brienne, Arianne and Cersei and Jaime, Theon, even Victarion and the Damphair, ALL of them, but I love Tyrion the bestest. Tyrion son of Tywin, the Imp, second son of Casterly Rock. How many bloody times do I need to say it?? I swear, from now on, whenever anybody asks me, "who is you favorite character," I am going to start naming characters from other people's books. Cugel the Clever. Flashman. Gatsby. Hotspur. Solomon Kane. A different one each time...'

ahhaha he should totally do this

Wants to outlaw technological innovation.
My reaction depended on the characters, with Tyrion and Danerys I was like ok...however Danerys I have grown to respect her endjng while Tyrion's is still bad. Jon's was like what the fucking fuck, till I read stuff on the internet and went down the R+L=J wormhole. The epilogue ending though was crazy. I doubt the show will be able to have as powerful an ending.
I guess it really depends on if they have Kevan, and well they don't. Lady Olenna could work maybe?

I think they could end with Jon getting stabbed. Have the penultimate scene be a white raven, which marks the start of winter, and then have Jon being winter's first event. That could be really powerful. (though I hope they at least give a slight hint that he is alive- like maybe having his eyes roll back- since too many big deaths is just exhausting and will tire people out)

OMG! This is a perfect change from the book sooo much karmic justice would be dealt
If Arya kills the man who killed Syrio and inadvertently gets revenge for Sansa. Starks FTW!! I also like the fact that Cersei is sending an incompetent idiot to argue their case for more money to help feed the realm
well looks like Arya's story won't be in a holding pattern like some thought.

contribute something
The Braavosi clothes are interesting. They almost look like something from Britain in the early 19th century?

Braavos seems to be inspired by a number of very post-medieval cities, so I guess that fits.

So I just saw an interview with Kristian Nairn (Hodor) who's currently touring Rave of Thrones across Australia. He said (something like) "we're not in Season 5, presumably because we're so close to where the books are, so I get a whole year off." News? Old news? Joke?

More time for them to figure out how to recast Rickon! Lol.

So no Bran enternet enabled flashback this season? :( I guess they could save it for season six with a certain reveal that could come with TWoW.

Interviewer: But who are your favourites from the A Song of Ice and Fire series?
GRRM: Oh god I can't stand those assholes! I have this big roulette wheel at home to decide who I should kill next. Hate all of them, especially that know nothing whipper-snapper Jon Snow

Also,

Syrio Forel joins the cast of Star Wars!

Can we just have Game of Thrones in space now? Will he be teaching water dancing to the Skywalker kids?
Slow and methodical lightsaber battles, planning and scheming, tasteful nudity?

Even with Bran flashbacks, I could see them not having any need for Hodor if they're not actually going to show life inside the cave. "We're" here could just be Hodor and Meera.

Do we have a source for this?
So far, just the interview with Hodor that was on Australian TV tonight. Transcript of the interview is now up:

KRISTIAN NAIRN: We're not actually in Season Five, by the way. We have a season off. We have a year's hiatus.

MONIQUE SCHAFTER: Really?

KRISTIAN NAIRN: Solely because, I imagine, our storyline is up to the end of the books. ... So I get a year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world.

He might be exaggerating slightly as well (if say, they only filmed a few scenes- which would all be on the same set.) But Bran sitting most/all of the season out isn't shocking.

Aiii

So not worth it
Do I really need to see Bran this season? Nope.

So many things going on and only 10 episodes to put them in, I'm just fine with them sidelining a character like Bran for a season if they have nothing interesting to tell on his end of the story.

Bran's storyline isn't completely done. He's not even in the Treenet yet! Also it would be completely strange to show a magical dude in a tree then never go back to him in the next season.

Also Mace looks dapper.

That's what I was thinking. Bran is probably in the season, his friends are not, they aren't needed in his tree cave room and won't be in any flashbacks where Bran would appear watching stuff like Harry Potter in the movies as an invisible spectator.

He could be mistaken but I doubt it. He would know by now if he was shooting or not. But the actor that plays Bran did say he was shooting for Season 5. This could mean that we just won't see Meera and Hodor.

Looking at that interview... he never explicitly says that HE will be in season 5. He just says that there is more action stuff coming up, and that they are filming season 5 at the moment.

But I'd still hope he's in.

Isaac, are you excited for what is coming up on Game of Thrones?

HEMPSTEAD-WRIGHT: Yeah. There’s certainly some more action stuff, rather than sitting down in various forests, all over Westeros.

When do you start shooting the new season?

HEMPSTEAD-WRIGHT: They’re actually filming, at the moment.

Oh wow, I didn't notice that when I first saw the interview, but in light of this that actually does look like a very artful dodge of the question. He says the season is action-packed, not his part.

I would be pretty surprised to find that Bran isn't in season 5, but not so much for Hodor.

I don't think Bran will be in the season much though.
