*UNMARKED SPOILERS ALL BOOKS* Game of Thrones |OT| - Season 7 - Sundays on HBO

Tyrion jelly either cause Danny is starting to listen to Jon more than him, or he somehow secretly knows that Danny is Jon's aunt so he sees how wrong it is

yeah I didn't understand that reaction from Tyrion at all. Wasn't sure how to read it other than some petty "I was the only man she listened to" thing even though that's totally not true.

As Theon was getting his ass kicked I was discussing with my flatmate what his trump card was going to be to turn the fight around. We sure as hell didn't think to expect that it was the fact that he literally has no balls.

I always felt like LF was going to die at Sansa's command if not her own hands but I didn't expect him to go out like a bitch. Just imagined a shit eating grin on his face like I taught this girl too well...

No way. LF isn't brave. Him begging was the perfect way for him to go.

He's definitely not brave but he's so conniving and has seen it all I figured his reaction would be more of acceptance than begging. Like he knew this was a possible outcome of the game he has been playing.

Instead he was acting like he just had the rug pulled out from under him. Even though he sort of did.

The amount of times they showed Tyrion upset at her, the scene with being taunted by Dothraki killing Lannister men, not being listened, to Cersei not killing him either. I think Tyrion support for Dany will waver...

I also think Jon is immune to ice and fire now since being reborn no? Survives underwater artic dip for hours/days.

They didn't add things in a short season to be ignored. Ie. Scorpion lead to Viserion death being hinted. Dany comment about dragon is not a slave and then enda with Viserion being controlled etc. Maybe eventually Viserion turns on the NK? Unlike Wights,he was touched like a Craster son. So maybe like Children couldn't control NK,Viserion eventually won't be controlled by him?

I mean, for all his planning I'm not sure he was really prepared to deal with Bran being able to see any event in any location in any time, as well as Arya's skills being to the level that they are. His feelings almost certainly made him underestimate Sansa as well.

...which is not to say I think this was handled as well as it could have been. But it was satisfying and sorta necessary at this point.

People like him don't usually go out with a shit eating grin when all their well laid schemes come crashing down on them all at once. He was completely blind sided and acted accordingly. It's about as fitting a death you could expect for him.

He's so arrogant that I don't know if he ever really did consider it a possible outcome.

But that's the thing, this guy on the show is made out to be this criminal mastermind architect and he considers all outcomes and possibilities and whatnot. He never saw this coming? Not even a little bit? He's hanging out in winterfell after murdering half the people who used to run it.

I guess it's true he never could have predicted Bran would know everything but still. Sansa knew the Aryn stuff.

Theon's scene with Jon really was great. The show desperately needs more Alfie Allen. Wonderful actor.

Watch him again in the first 3 seasons and now. Great emotion and range without even speaking much. His face when he's feeling Yara up and all cocky and about to take Winterfell, to being Reek, to abandoning Yara with Euron. Can't wait to see him against Euron. But I think he will be killed.

It'll be interesting how big a deal the aunt/nephew revelation turns out to be. First cousins no one bats an eye at in Westeros. Targaryens don't bat an eye at anything.

I said to my GF how good an actor Alfie Allen was, and how shit Kit Harrington was then.
But then it all went to sht.

His expression after Yara says 'Don't die too far away from the sea, brother' is a stand out.

So many fantastic actors underutilized in the show. Two relatively poor actors shoved to the forefront. Damn man :(

Forever salty Ian McShane only lasted a single episode as Sept Meribald. Would bring some much needed heart to the show. Wish we saw him as a foil to the high sparrow earlier on in the show.

Isn't it completely unimportant what deal Tyrion struck with Cersei? She's clearly not honoring their deal and Jon and Dany will find that out soon enough. I think the main thrust of that whole set up is that Jon and Dany are going to have to split their forces and fight the undead in the north and Cersei in the south at the same time. Ideally they would deal with the whites first and Cersei second, but I suspect some dramatic circumstance will force Jamie, the Hound, Brienne, and an army to head south.

I would bang a hot farmer!
fAegon will be leading the Golden Company. Yep, with 6 episodes left they're going to introduce a brand new character with a fake backstory!

Do people put any thought into these things?

Tyrion's speech last week about succession... maybe he thought he had a shot with Dany. Then here comes Jon Snow and that's all done with.

So was the whole "let's go have a drink Pod" a way to get Bronn off screen since Cersei refuses to be on set with him?
That's the consensus.

It's a bit weird because the show has done romance decently before, between Robb and Talisa, and it was a show creation to boot.

Maybe it's just due to the rushed nature of the season. Or maybe there's just so much acting you can extract out of the two kunckleheads we got.

I liked how they translated the dynamic of Jon and Ygritte to the show. Maybe it helped that the two actors actually dug each other irl.

What about now that the NW is essentially ended?
Yo, we're going there again.

Edit - misread this as his membership to the NW is essentially ended. It's late and I should sleep.

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

So which one is it? Til death or for all nights to come? A case can be made either way for Jon's Night's watch membership.

Yeah. It was like one episode ago that he was talking about how he always imagines every possibility so he never gets surprised. So he somehow never considered the possibility that someone would find him out or Sansa would be more loyal to her family than to him? Give me a break.

He didn't deny everything (anything?), he didn't point out that he saved Sansa's life by getting her out of King's Landing after Joffrey's murder, he didn't point out that he saved Sansa again, and Jon, and the North by bringing his army to crush Ramsay's.

He didn't get a trial, didn't get to choose a champion for trial by combat, nothing. Littlefinger became a helpless moron and the Starks and the North abandoned all their legal customs.

Littlefinger failed to understand the ethics and family bonds that dominate Northern politics and life in general. He assumed that ambition and power lust could trump all, and he was wrong. I feel he made this mistake because he has never had been part of a larger social culture that protects itself. He has only cared about himself and Cat/Sansa while leveraging every advantage at his disposal to facilitate the advancement of that via exploiting personal desires/fears.

I also think it's appropriate that he misread Sansa, since she is the only thing he was emotionally attached to. She was a walking blind spot for him, and she used that knowingly and beautifully, imo. She learned a lot from him, but she had her family armor and cultural shield to protect her.

It's even prettier when you consider that the Starks are wolves. Like poetry.

I still can't believe Tyrion and Varys are actually both dumb enough to take Cersei at face value and not leave behind a scout or spy or something, especially when neither Jaime nor any other Lannister general helped them plan the attack or even mentioned where they were going to meet. Christ.

I'm sitting here waiting patently for two giant brothers to fight each other. I realize that the Night King is likely going to steal the mountain, forcing Sandor to master flame to kill his brother, but I don't care. The fight destined, must occur, or the world isn't just.

Also, what the fuck happened to Gendry? The most important question of the episode.
