Until Dawn | Aftermath Trailer

So the developers said that you could have your character be the victim or end up as an expy of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
I wonder if you could turn the tables and eventually it would lead to a scene where YOU are chasing the killer through the house while he's begging for mercy and then it hits too... you either die or you become the new killer... it's a never ending cycle...

Loving the cover art on the box for Until Dawn. Not long to go now. :)

Do you guys remember a game show I think from Nickelodeon, like 20 years ago, where the contestant would have to basically do this? Like you were running from the cops...do you take the highway or hide in a parking garage, do you stowaway on a yacht or try escaping on a jet ski, etc. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Sounds somewhat like Nick Arcade

I played a demo of this recently, seemed interesting but the performance was absolutely terrible. Almost unplayable, even for a game like this.

Yeah that's it. I went with the steelbook here in UK. I didn't know you guys in the states weren't getting the steelbook, that sucks, could import maybe.

Everytime a steelbook gets mentioned for PS4 it seems like it's usually UK exclusive. Last one I really wanted was the Driveclub one. UK only.

Strange that steelbook games are not being released much over there, especially with dvd / blu-ray steelbooks being very popular in most countries.

That would be so awesome

Earlier this week I was playing an old PC game that reminded me of this game. It was called Critical Path. It got panned in the reviews, but I never laughed so hard while playing a game. The game was full motion video and gave you choices. It was the funniest comedy ever. I think you can "play" it for free on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUamoP_H7eo

I'm starting to think this might turn out quite well. I'm definitely interested in it, but with MGSV around the corner and a few games in my backlog, I will hold off on this and wait for a price drop I think.

Those screenshots are really nice, the character models are insanely detailed and the environments looks great. The graphics really help sell the atmosphere of the game.

It's funny that the most 'off' looking part of this shot is her fingers.

Superb otherwise.

Watching the radio tower climb the first time I was getting Resi2/3 Racoon City streets atmosphere chills.

Whoa, I somehow missed that this is releasing in less than 3 weeks. Awesome, it's been high on my watch list for a while.

Gah, too many good games coming out and not enough money! I might have to do the ol' trade-in routine to pick this one up, but I definitely need to play it. It's kind of a guilty pleasure, but I absolutely love CYOA-style moviegames like this.

will the game have gameplay or is it just Dragon's Lair 2015?
can't watch the trailer atm if it answers my question.
Exploration environment: manual character movement and environment/character interaction
Action sequence: auto run with breaks for choices or QTEs

One can merge into the other, same as Heavy Rain.

Thanks! Lets hope this is much much better than the turd that was Heavy Rain.

Yeah I know what you mean, it does have that kind of feel to it. In fact that kind of uneasy, horror vibe has been lacking in recent years, you would think more games would have nailed it with how good graphics have become since the days or Res Evil 2/3.

I think it's the mixture of some fixed camera angles, detailed environments (visual and sound effects like wind), and stressful, dangerous situation.

In Racoon City you could also hear distance groans and screams.
