The manga destroys the abomination known as the anime. I have no idea why they went and kiddied it up so hard. D:

Got all of the current books, after going through the manga its literally impossible to watch the anime its so bad...

Thankfully, I have no plans to read the nanga, so I can't be angry that it's not a faithful adaptation, lol. It's been good for me.

Thank god I watched the anime first then, 'cause I'm enjoying it. ^_^

Good to know the manga is more bad-ass though, as it'll give me a reason to read it when the show goes off the air.

So Drive Girls isn't VD.. it's a bit more literal. Stolen from PSN thread

http://www.famitsu.com/news/201609/06114878.html

Shinsei Battaku Drive Girls for Vita has been announced.

It's a game where you ride girls
(I guess; they transform into cars)
and battle an army of robot insects.

Brought to you by Nippon I... Marve... Comp... Bergsala Lightweight.

Bergsala Lightweight AB is a publisher of computer games with offices in Asia, Europe and in the US. Bergsala Lightweight is most famous for their line of Hello Kitty games.

All these companies I've never heard of releasing fanservice games on Vita. First Planet G with Sengoku Otome and now this.

edit: Bluemaxima on reddit just pointed out that the company is that who developed Bushido Blade. Not bad!

Nice. Although, I haven't played Taiko and I didn't really enjoy IA/VT.

I enjoyed IA/VT (enough that I will probably slowly make my way towards the plat here and there), but it's definitely not my favorite game, yeah. I've been playing through both versions of Must Songs and am pretty into them, so I can back Taiko's gameplay being good at least.

Both are amazing. I'd recommend Taiko demo on Singapore PSN if you feel like trying it by switching accounts before committing to buy it. Super worth it. IA VT soundtrack is fantastic. Pity most wont hear it.

Nice, hard to dispute any of those, but I'd have personally put DJ Max in the list, I put so much time into that game (still probably my most played Vita game to date).

DJMax is great but I prefer Superbeat. The only rhythm game I didn't really care much for would be the senran cooking one I guess. I also bought DJMax portable 3? on PSP when it was discounted before. Downloading it now.

the touchscreen only DJ Max? maybe i will put more effort into it then

+1 It's my favourite Vita rhythm game.

I just looked at the CE it had. Damn. Wish I had owned a Vita then lol. I just got standard ordered last year.

That's the one.. I know the controls aren't for everyone but I had a blast with it once it "clicked". Its annoying that I'm just two trophies away from the plat, but I can't get good enough ranks on a couple of the difficulties to get the last two trophies I'm short!

Heavy-Arm mentioned a few weeks ago that Sony Asia don't release any english Asia Retails anymore for the Vita. Seems true now.

Well, Dragon Quest Builders, plus SD Gundam and Super Robot Wars are happening. But this combined with Vita being removed from Sony China's site, on top of Vita gone from the EU hardware support page is making me pretty sad/worried for the future.

I know it has to end, but I am not ready!

But DQ Builders is from Square Enix and the others are from Bandai Namco. Moero Crystal is published by Sony Asia. I don't think it's the end of english Asia retails for the Vita in general (though it seems declining since KT dropped it...), just for Sony Asia as a publisher.

didn't they say that in response to AOT? That wasn't Sony either or was it?
What other games does Sony Asia publish and how would it make sense to have the requirement "no english language included"?

Who is selling physical Criminal Girls anyway?
NISA Online store (sold out)

Yes, but Heavy Arm said it in response to Attack on Titan, which is a game published by Koei-Tecmo.

Speaking of Koei Tecmo, where the hell are their next batch of localizations? They're kind of late for Toukiden 2, as they announced Kiwami 2 months after Japanese release. There are also Atelier Shallie Plus, Dynasty Warriors Eik-something and upcoming Samurai Warriors Sanada.

They still have Berserk for this year, though.

Wait for TGS?
for localizations? unlikely

I don't think they're late on those games though. Most of them will come at some point. A big focus for the west is nioh right now, which seems like it could be huge for them

Not sure if SW Sanada even makes sense for the west. Isn't that based on a Japanese TV drama?

randomly moving dates? yes.

I don't see a problem with that tweet though. the person running the Twitter account probably was told not to say anything until the official pr is out

delays happen

Even if it's about something little known in west, Koei rarely skip Musou games in west. Last time they skipped one was the Chronicles 2 for 3DS. Before that, they skipped Strikeforce 2 on PSP. I'm pretty sure they'll bring Sanada. It is based on TV show but Sanada is also a character in previous SW games so fans in west would be familiar to that.

I really doubt we'll be getting that one.

re. Atelier Shallie, I'm expecting a January release. That's the window they normally like to release them in. I'm just hoping we get another NISA LE.

It's one of my few regrets. I was there when it went up and after some thinking, I passed figuring I didn't really like music games. How wrong I was.

Damn, that's bullshit. Sony themselves said it would have English subs when it was announced last year, and now they're going back on their word it seems. I already played through Seven Pirates in Japanese last month but I think playing a DRPG like that would be more of an annoyance.

How import friendly would you say seven pirates is without Japanese knowledge (except reading katakana). I don't expect this to get an english TL now either

It kinda depends on how much of the language you can understand. I can understand most of the spoken dialogue and the main story is fully voiced, so I at least knew what the game was about for the most part. I can't read hardly any kanji, though, so there were some things in the quest/item descriptions etc. I couldn't understand. Luckily there was this wiki, which made everything pretty much understandable with Google translate, and the game tells what you need to do for quests etc.

edit: I just sent an e-mail to Sony Asia about Moero Crystal's English localization seemingly being cancelled. I don't know if it will actually do anything, but if anyone else cares you should contact them too.

Damn :(.

Well, unless the game runs on PC or if the game is a good price on PS4 by the time I get one, seems like I'm not playing this game for a lone while.

I was honestly looking forward to playing this on my Vita alongside Cosmic Star Heroine & Axiom Verge this Fall. At least those two I can play on my Vita (though the former won't be for a while I think) it still sucks I won't be playing this on it.

I appreciate that the developer made a nice YT video explaining the situation rather than just saying 'It didn't work out so.....bye'.

Imported IA/VT a while back, I'm liking it. Favorite rhythm game on Vita so far. (Only other ones I are have Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit and Hatsune Miku Project Diva f though..)

Though I hate how you have to play through the normal version of the song to unlock the hard one. I just want to play them on hard from the start..

Looking to import Taiko next now that I'm finally over not being able to play the game using the touch screen.

Damn. First cancellation in a while that has affected me, I actually wanted to play this one on my Vita. :I

HLD on PS4 was insanely good. That's a huge blow :(

I know it's not the same, but if there's nother way for you to play it, you should give it a try. It's a very special game.

Shame about HLD, understandable though.

I don't have a gaming PC/PS4 etc, I'm more of a portable gamer. Maybe it'll end up on NX in the distant future? Maybe my creaking old laptop can run it, will check it out.

The kickstarter I'm most worried about at the moment is Bloodstained, I really hope that makes it to Vita next year now.

I've heard good things about IA/VT before. Is there a ton of DLC? i.e. would you miss out on much by importing?

I'd almost managed to avoid the rage about indie cancellations. Never Alone I didn't care about. Not a Hero I could live without. Energy Hook I was really excited for but it seems the final game was a disaster.

But Hyper Light Drifter hurts. That one I was hyped for and it seemed really good. Shame.
