With the release of Zero Time Dilemma, I wonder if we will get 999 on PSV ? I played at VLR and I loved it. So if I can play at 999 before playing at ZTD, it would be great. Because I'm under impression ZTD contains some elements of the first game no ?

It's rumored/teased that we will get 999 on Vita, yes.

Shared in the LRG thread, but worth sharing here too I think:

http://operationrainfall.com/2016/06/27/limited-run-games-interview-e3/

You are currently releasing Rabi-Ribi and Fault-Milestone, how were these games chosen?

Josh – They chose them. They were games that they were looking to bring to PS4 and Vita. They actually hired our studio, Mighty Rabbit, to work on the Fault-Milestone PlayStation ports.

Do you see this partnership continuing?

Josh – Yes, it’s our hope that we can get to some of the bigger titles like Clannad and Grisaia on physical media.

Do you have a set number of releases that Limited Run Games is aiming for?

Josh – The ideal amount of game releases a month is two. The max, I think we’ll ever do is four. We don’t want to oversaturate our own market. There might be a month that has more than four, but that’s not something we plan on doing often.

There’s been some talk that that you guys are looking to work with Koei Tecmo?

Douglas – I can say, “Yes, we’ve talked.” It’s just a matter of figuring out the logistics of it. Can’t go into further detail, but they’re interested in the idea.

Josh – Our goal is to start with the Arland trilogy for Vita.

Omfg, Atelier Arland trilogy on physical media, omggggg. I might have some free memory card space again!

So didn't people say AoM had a bad Vita version? It's completely fine. Framerate isn't 100% stable and there are sometimes hiccups when a new enemy or other model is loaded into memory but other than that it's great. So glad I don't have to play this on mobile. I'm in love

This became really boring to see the USK logo ruining all european boxarts. Why does it have to be so giant seriously ? Btw they even stack it with the PEGI's one it's ridiculous.

The USK logo is only present in German packshots, the rest of Europe doesn't have that logo, just the PEGI one.

Mostly yes, but some publisher decide to produce just one design for all european countries like Nintendo is doing with their Special/Limited editions. I'm german and I'm usually importing from Austria or the UK but sometimes you can't get rid of it.

Does that mean Ar nosurge+ might have a chance too?

I wouldn't have thought so. LRG's big thing is preserving games for the future and they're not going to do that when the game already has a physical release elsewhere.

There's 5 Atelier games for them to pick up too (possibly 7 soon) so they may be busy for a while.

Yes recently I had it on Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

Ar nosurge+ already had a retail release, albeit a very limited one.

Well yeah, the run was so limited you could think there wasn't a physical release at all.

The USK sigil never fails to digust.

Can't imagine what it must feel like to constantly get that disappointment with each and every game release.

You can bet NISA printed a lot more copies than LRG would. It wasn't that limited, if you knew it was happening and that it'd be limited.

Ehh, I honestly think Ar Norsurge Plus had about the same print as some of the LRG releases we've had so far. The way the markup on ebay has been, it seems to make it clear that they didn't print a whole lot.

It was up for pre-order for a long time. Even other retailers sold it, like VGP and Play-Asia. It wasn't as limited as LRG, not nearly.

Some LEGO Star Wars Vita footage. Looks to be yet another good port. This is like the 5th in a row now that seems to be solid (Batman 3; Shadow of Ronin; Jurassic World; Avengers) so it's safe to say they seem to have learned the lesson about not just chucking up iOS ports

Actually, iOS, 3DS and Vita versions are the same. Here's some gameplay to compare:

There are endless offerings in the story-focused RPG genre if you open your gates to the PSP and PSX games playable on vita.

Final Fantasy, Persona 2/3, Suikoden, to name a few.

The new PSN sale in europe includes "Trillion: God of Destruction" for 7,99€. That's a crazy good price for such a new game. There is probably more but PSPrices isn't up to date yet.

Interesting

If you would like to express your desire for specific games to be released in English in #R3 (Asia) email us here: plzsenpai@play-asia.com

Although we do not make the release decisions as a retailer, we will make the case for high demand titles to the appropriate publishers.

We've already begun compiling social media requests - feel free to keep those coming as well. Hopefully we'll get some awesome releases!

Is unlikely it will amount to anything but hey, it doesn't hurt to try.

I'd forgotten how fast-paced it is, it's really refreshing to play. Reminds me of games like Link's Awakening/LTTP and Ys: Oath in Felghana, in that there isn't really any filler, and there's a sense of urgency in that you're always legging it to the next location.

Nice - time for Neptunia overload since I always skipped those games since Vita version were much more expensive than on steam.
And P4D will be mine :D

I'm very optimistic about World to the West coming to Vita. Game runs in Unity, is from the Teslagrad devs and they seem highly positive to any tweets I make about bringing it to Vita. And that's great, because Teslagrad was awesome.

I also have to wonder what the chances of Oddworld: Soulstorm coming too. Again it's in Unity and it's being worked on by Frima Studio, who ported Resi Revelations 2 and Hitman Go.

Speaking of Oddworld:

https://twitter.com/OddworldInc/status/748177079775141888

They're asking about Limited Run releases of Stranger & Munch on twitter.

Haha, well that's me told.

Well then, I guess I should revise my statement to: the handheld ports have come a long way from the isometric time-trials of Marvel Super Heroes.

They still suck compared to the early PSP near-direct console ports of Lego Star Wars 2, Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones.

Hell, Lego Batman PSP has almost as much content as Lego Batman 2 and 3 Vita combined.

Guys, I'm in the mood for a game with a great story. Any recommendations besides Persona 4, VLR and Steins;Gate?

You want The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. It's fun to play and beautiful to look at, and comes with a great soundtrack and a deep story.

Exactly this.

Fair enough. I'm still happy with the direction they've moved in though, I enjoyed Avengers and am looking forward to playing Star Wars at some point.

In other news, I wish Touhou Scarlet Curiosity had released on Vita, because it looks really really good. What do we think the chances of Genius of Sappheiros releasing in the west are in the new Touhou revolution?

Very interesting read about the status of Monogame on Vita from the dev of Super Blackout. From what I understand, all games on Monogame that previously came to Vita had to be ported by Sickhead as they use some kind of conversion to get it running on the console, but going forward Monogame should run natively on Vita. Hope for Stardew Valley and Transistor after all?

https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/4qi2he/monogame_ps_vita_sdk_is_currently_in_alpha/

In short, this means the potential for more PS Vita game releases, because it means two things:
Developers can use the programming language C# (pronounced "C sharp"), without Unity, to develop Vita games. This has me very excited, as C# is my favorite language for games, by far.
Existing games built with either Monogame or XNA will be significantly easier to port to Vita.
Last December, there was an article posted here that explained the existence of a transpiler (program that converts from C# to C++ code) that was being used for games like Bastion, Axiom Verge, and Towerfall: Ascension. That article indiciated (or else I misunderstood) that developers working with Monogame/C# would still have to have another team doing the port, as the transpiler was only available to the guys who built it -- Tom Spilman and Sickhead Games.
In the post linked here, though, Tom is indicating that there's another option available beyond the transpiler: an actual PS Vita implementation of the Monogame SDK, currently in an alpha state. Transpiling source code from one language to another can sometimes/often require additional work after the transpilation process, but having true PS Vita support in Monogame means just writing code once and having it work on all platforms -- including PS Vita.

So if PlayAsia's listing is anything to go by, the Asian English version of Moero Crystal has been cancelled. They delisted the English/Chinese version earlier this morning (after not hearing a word about it since December) and then put it up again just recently as only having Chinese subs.
