Sounds reasonable.
Except, the majority of Sony's first party heavy hitters are all cross gen. Some arent like Returnal or R&C and DS, but I think the rest are. And the "rest" are much bigger franchises than the prior.
That means DS, Returnal, R&C are $70, but GT7, GOW, Horizon FW, Spiderman MM are all $60.
Sony is trying to reset prices to a new $70 tier, but if their heavy sellers are cross gen $60 games, it makes games like R&C and Returnal out of whack at $70. And who knows how long Sony will do cross gen. They already said they are going to do it for more years, so that means they'd be pigeon holed for $60 for years for many games.
They'll never get to their $70 mark they are trying to establish. Not saying that is bad for gamers. It's good for them. But from a business strategy point at head office, it will fail.
