Works for me. Don't know, reboot?
Did you reinstall the nvidia drivers or let windows 10 do it for you? Reboot didn't work.

You'll have to do the reddit trick
https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3exx29/preload_windows_10_if_you_dont_have_the_folder/
Make sure you read the first comment. You have to delete some files. Worked for me and fixed that error.
I am having the same problem but I found this. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-update-error-80246007#1TC=windows-7
Still preparing for install Ill let you know if it worked. Worth a shot at least. I just ran the windows update troubleshooter btw.
Looks like it's hanging. Is there any hard drive activity?
Is this an ISO or suitable for in-place upgrade: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ?
So if I do a clean install using an ISO will I need to download my MOBO drivers etc as well? Particularly MSI killer network driver?

Try updating drivers through windows update to 353.62 Nvidia drivers.
used the tool to force the update, took over 1 hour, and its slow. reset my display setting and can't even find nVidia control panel to sort it out. This system display does not have 1080p
uhhh, is that supposed to come up when you post on edge?
So I have Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. But only one PC at the moment.
If I install from USB/DVD do I just input my Windows 8 or 8.1 key to activate and that's them upgraded to Win 10 keys?
Update says I'm up to date. First thing I tried.
I'm on 353.62
Weirdly enough, GeForce Experience works just fine. But no control panel.
Was anybody from Europe already able to install via the autoupgrade tool. It's 10.30 am here and still nothing.
On fresh install a driver is installed but I have no control panel or GeForce experience menus. Will investigate.
Denmark here. The auto-upgrade program didn't do anything new. I just went into Windows Update and launched the install. Was anybody from Europe already able to install via the autoupgrade tool. It's 10.30 am here and still nothing.
I just did a CLEAN install of 353.62 via the custom option on the installer and it brought back my control panel.
Nvidia drivers were broken on my upgrade. I had no acceleration on first boot up. Noticed in uninstall programs menu that the win 7 drivers were still installed. Couldn't uninstall then either. Tried to get new drivers from Nvidia website but it said newer drivers were installed. Then I notice windows update failed to install Nvidia drivers. A few reboots later and check for updates it installs from windows update.

Nvidia messed up the driver versions. Somehow they named them in a way that forced win 10 to install older drivers instead of newer. People had problems with resolution and 2nd monitor's because of this. But by now new drivers should be up and win 10 should install them automatically, but they only take effect after a reboot.

Give it a moment and Windows will automatically install an nvidia driver. You'll pop back to your previous Nvidia settings. Worked for me, but still no control panel.
Notes about Windows 10 Technical Preview builds and Windows 10 RTM compatibility (updated 5 Jun 2015)
UNi Xonar drivers above v1.64 will work in Windows 10 TP but since the drivers are not made for Windows 10 there could be some issues depending on Windows builds and audio settings used. Different drivers could work differently so if you encounter any issues try installing the other UNi Xonar versions.
Due to changes within each Win10 TP build, the very slow development of the audio drivers by C-Media and the long time it takes for C-Media partners (ASUS, HTOmega) to release the new drivers, it may take a while before we have a 100% compatible driver for Windows 10, this could take up to 2-3 months after the RTM release of Windows 10. I will release new UNi Xonar drivers package as soon as new drivers became available.
Yup, same here (Sweden). Had to install an update from yesterday, after that the option to upgrade to W10 was in Windows Update. Took approx. 1,5 h for an upgrade.Denmark here. The auto-upgrade program didn't do anything new. I just went into Windows Update and launched the install.
Where are people getting 353.62 drivers from NVIDIA? The latest for me is 353.30
you must first upgrade windows 7/8/8.1 to 10 on first attempt. this must be done so windows can covert your key as part of the free win 10 offer for the first year. then if you choose to clean install i believe your key is tied to your ms account, where it will activate once you sign in
So is there easter eggs to get Cortana to say stuff? Otherwise she seems to just google stuff.

Still stuck. :/
tried mounting the .iso and installing that way, but the cd key for my OEM windows 8.1 [came with my new PC] isn't working... :/
I believe you have to set her up, give her permission if you didn't already during the install, and have a mic. Don't think she talks at all unless you've done that.
