Great. Every program still there. Took about an hour for everything
Any game performance boost guys?
For anyone who wants to force the update:

To those of you who did the "dirty" (non-clean install) upgrade route:
1. What was your prior operating system? (Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1)
2. Do all of your old games and programs still work, or did you find the need to reinstall them?
3. Have you run into any incompatibility issues so far?
You won't really see improvements until games start getting DX12 versions. Which could take a while.
In Batman Arkham Knight I stay at a solid 30 with 2 970s on Windows 10. On Windows 8 I dipped down to 21 or lower.
I don't know the reason for this.
Used the direct download tool and I am in like Flynn on my Surface 3

I'm afraid the creation tool doesn't recognize my SanDisk USB.
Using this one here:

I found another USB stick that had just enough to fit W10 on it but my mobo/bios would not show it in the menu. I tried USB 3.0 and others and still nothing. Does the USB need to be FAT32 or NTFS? I was using FAT32.
The reset option for a clean install seems stuck at 99%.
:/
windows 10 is supposed to be worse in sli
this makes no sense
Oh god I hope they didn't ruin SLI, have anyone tried it out on other systems yet?I'm fairly Certain Direct X12 is supposed to be an improvement for SLI. So it does make sense. What doesn't make sense is how he's only getting 30 fps with 970's SLI
W10 insists on installing RealTek audio drivers even after I uninstall them.

In real terms how much difference does a clean install make to a "dirty" install?
How do you even snap in tablet mode anyway?Snap got a serious downgradeI don't like how it works now, at least in tablet mode. You can't easily change out one half of your snapped apps, you basically have to resnap every time you want to change one of them.
So I can't, say, keep twitter snapped and switch the other half between other things at will, I have to resnap every time I want to change one of the apps. Not cool.
edit: Also, a small annoyance, but it seems like the background for my login screen is just the default wallpaper, and I can't find a way to change it. Anyone else getting this?
Nvidia control panel broken for anyone else? won't come up
I'm looking through my update history on 8.1 and the "Upgrade to Windows 10" update keeps failing with a " 80240020" error code.
Is this normal? I live in Australia by the way. I am in the Windows Insider Program.

Still preparing for install Ill let you know if it worked. Worth a shot at least. I just ran the windows update troubleshooter btw.
Most of the install went fine but now I've been stuck on this screen for the last 40 minutes.
