US/CAN Club Nintendo Thread: New and improved. Read the OP.

They should be. The OoT & Majora's Mask ones were physical, not to mention all the ones that CN Japan gets (which appears to be the artwork they're using at the moment).

I was planning on getting both versions anyways, so this is an awesome bonus!!

....so about the real Club Nintendo with its 5 physical rewards -_-

Got my copy of Layton VS. Wright today. Is it first time to have Club Nintendo info & PIN printed on the inner side of the cover?

That's what I have. Canadian copy. Not in the US?

Is also like this in the US. I just checked it.

This is going to be problematic for GameStop. The ones in my area remove the CN codes and put them with the gutted games for "new" copies, to prevent people from stealing the codes.

Does he really have his accounts set up that way? Because he talks about having different amounts of coins on different accounts, but when you have a family account you have only one amount of coins no matter how many subs you have.

Not sure if anyone here knows yet but Team Top Hat is banned from Club Nintendo. You can read about it here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=885308

Anyone with a family account, and registered multiples of the same game, take heed.
I think his problems started when he began giving away codes. We've heard in the past other people getting flagged for the very same thing, so that's what i would avoid more than anything else.

But a family owning multiple copies of the same game is a totally normal thing, why would that be against their ToS?

It's a rather troubling situation. According to TTT, receipts for proof of purchase was shown to validate those purchases. Maybe two things are to blame, TTT understanding of TOS and Nintendo's online infrastructure. I have no solid answer to give.

I don't have a family account but I'll keep this situation in mind.

Yeah, I think just having a single family account is fine. Having multiple Club Nintendo accounts is clearly against the ToS.

Phew, I should be safe then.

I called Nintendo Customer Support directly last night, and they said there was no issue with giving away rewards. Selling them is against the TOS, for sure. Give aways are perfectly fine, though. You just should probably keep track of your giveaways/keep them on a public forum (e.g. here) in case the question ever does come up.

See my post on it in TTH's thread here.

Some people have been very skeptic of Team Top Hat in that thread. There seems to be some inconsistency with his story on a few levels, and he, at one point, said he spoke to Nintendo Customer Service and was told the sole purpose for his ban was that he "bought too many games". Definitely feels as if there's something else to the story to me.

He talked about different coin amounts which indicates that he had multiple accounts that were not registered as family accounts.

And I would imagine changing the address would raise some red flags.

Yeah ... the talking to nintendo about 2 accounts one at each country raised some questions to me ...

A friend was already banned from Club Nintendo because he told nintendo that he lives in brazil and has a canadian club nintendo account =P

There's a new Wii U VC game offered every month, right? Like with off TV play and all? Hate myself for missing Super Mario World for 200 coins and am debating getting Super Mario Bros 2 for the coins.

I never really enjoyed the game, but I have all these coins...

Wait another week for the games to change again.

The only problem is that I'm already at 600 or so coins with more incoming and I haven't even reached Gold yet or registered my Wii U.

These coins go nowhere :(

Wait for the Amiibos lolololol

Ok that was uncalled for. I'm sorry. Well you can always gift people some free games ;). It was already said but wait for the next selection of games to see if there's anything your interested in.

If they actually offered Amiibos I'd do it. Problem is they'd be a couple thousand I bet.

They seem to offer 2 VC Wii U titles each month, I'm sure Super Mario World will return.

I have a question, Once a game disappears from the main Club Nintendo page, is it gone for good?
I wanted to get a game earlier today but it was gone (I don't visit CN often) so I went ahead to its CN site (to see if I could donwload it from there) but it said the game wasn't available.

At this point, like others have said before, I think they're beginning to phase out physical rewards permanently.

I doubt we'll ever see them again, to be honest. Hope I'm wrong, though.

Not being a huge fan of digital (especially if there is some physical version) that would be unfortunate. The last gold/platinum reward probably has shown us the direction the program is moving.

OK. I'm calling it now. Current cycles Platinum Reward is going to be Ambassador Program Games pack, Doc Louis Punch Out, and something else. As for Gold, they get screen savors, t-shirts, sweaters, and pencil case pouches.

Again, welcome back Team Top Hat. We've all learned from your unfortunate event. If any still hold some negativity, just let it go and move on.

So who's getting that Smash Bros Soundtrack? Before, I wasn't sure If I'd bite on both versions but then Shulk was announced and everything changed. So now everything is coming full circle. I gotta get a feel for Shulk, Megaman, and Ness. I gotta have both games. I gotta have that soundtrack. This thirst is real. Gonna be an exciting 8 plus months for Nintendo stuff.

I hope to get that Smash Bros. OST. I got lucky getting that OoT 3D OST the second time around, but for Smash, I'll probably have to register the games as soon as I get them to have a chance. I can only imagine how many people will try to get the soundtrack.

Is there a limited supply? I thought they are guaranteeing copies if you buy both?
