Does Mario 64 give a post play survey? I just got one for Super Metroid, yet I downloaded Mario 64 first.

  • If you downloaded it on the Wii U via Wii Mode -- no. Wii mode downloads on the Wii U aren't registered on CN.
  • If you download it ON a real Wii with a linked CN account, it worked -- at least prior to April 2014. It might still get a Post Play survey.
  • As of April 2014, DS and Wii games no longer get Post Play surveys.
  • DSiWare games on the 3DS seem to get Post Play surveys.
  • WiiWare and Wii VC titles purchased ON a Wii may no longer get Post Play surveys. I'm not sure. Has anyone noticed?

Okay, last post for today (I hope).

Free Titles Giving Points
  • Lucadian Chronicles - Wii U - 10pp

Titles that MIGHT Still Give Post Play Surveys:
(All gave surveys at one point, but I don't believe that all of them STILL do.)

  • Moshi Monsters Moshlings Theme Park Demo - 3DS - 10
  • Nintendo Video - 3DS - 10

  • Tank! Tank! Tank! - Wii U - 10

Glitches/Loopholes/Errors(NOT exploits)
  • Pinball (NES) - Wii U - 70 (At one point, this VC game had a 60 coin reg. survey. Anyone know if it still does?)

Hey guys, I have a Pokemon Omega Ruby code for trade. There are many other games that I haven't registered like Fantasy Life, Bravely Default, etc., so just make and offer and if I don't have it, we'll trade.

So, did those people that managed to snag Flipnote codes before Nintendo took it down actually manage to get the Flipnote app on their 3DS'? I haven't seen anyone talk about it since so I'm assuming nobody actually managed to get their code.

I bought a brand new copy of Captain Toad on amazon

It arrived today. Shrinkwrapped and all. It was not from a third party seller.

Inside it had no club nintendo points :( No insert and nothing printed on the back of the cover. No points to be found. I thought it had 60 points inside?

Luckily I'm already platinum... but yeah that was a bummer.

So what i'm wondering is: Did I get a very recently printed copy of the game that Nintendo already stopped distributing points inside? Or was it some kind of error that it was not included?

This happened to someone else in the other Club Nintendo thread. He was able to resolve it by calling Nintendo and providing the serial number of his game. I would give that a try.

Edit: Found the posts. Here you go:

Is Captain Toad supposed to have a club nintendo code in it??
I got it today new and it only has this little wiiu safety insert in it...

I ended up calling Nintendo and they manually added the game to my account by using the code on the back of my case above the bar code. Dude was really helpful and the survey showed up right then and there.

Give it a try if you're in the States! They'll probably fix it for you right away.

Thanks... I guess I'll go ahead and contact them, I was going to just let it lie but sounds like it's somewhat more widespread than I thought... I should contact them simply so they are aware that it is not an isolated thing, maybe they can prevent such stuff in the future >.<

Oh hey, Flipnote Studio 3D is finally up! Can't wait to go online & see all the cool stuff people have....

"Flipnote Studio 3D allows you to showcase your unique creations in 3D with other Flipnote Studio 3D users over a local wireless connection. Flipnotes saved to an SD card in AVI video or GIF image formats can be shared on social media or video sharing sites using a PC."

........so there's no online feature. Well now I don't know if I want to bother downloading it since I'm not one for drawing.

So I have 3 copies of each Smash, Fantasy Life, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart and Mario Tennis, all I have to do is add my kids to a family account (mine) and can register them and get the coins to the main one?, is that all?.

Yes, bear in mind Nintendo doesn't allow doing that though, user TipTopHat was banned from the program for doing that, then again he accumulate around 10000 coins xD

yes, you can and it works. I registered Wit Fit on my account years ago and my mom's version on a family profile awhile back too.

Disclaimer - I've heard since then that it is still against their Terms of Service even though it is possible and accounts have been banned. Because they don't want survey answers more than once from the same voice? I dunno the reasoning just that though you can do it, it may not end well. I'm crossing my fingers that I get through to platinum reward next month without issue. It would be really crappy if that causes an issue because I legitimately thought that was what a family account was for when I did it...

Does Flipnote Studio 3D give you any coins?
I don't have 3DS btw

I got through and got the it but received no registration survey or coins. I guess there may be a post play in 7 days but I'm not holding my breath since it was released after Nintendo said that nothing gets points from this day forward.

Wait, what? What's the point of having a family account if it's not for family members to add their games to their accounts with a single coin total?

The case with this user TeamTopHat, was Nintendo not getting real survey feedback from the actual owners I think, that's why his account was removed. Still it's a gray line, because most of the time Nintendo just doesn't care in investigate a specific account by doing so, but when you have over 12.000 coins worth in rewards, something is going on.

I was mauling over buying Persona Q so I could get enough points to get both Gold AND Harmony Knight.

For some reason I misread my coins: I only have 220, I thought buying Persona Q would be enough, but that only gives out 50 coins, which means I would need another 30 coins, and there's nothing else I want to buy on the eshop.

Bummer.

What are you talking about? That's exactly the only reason for Family Accounts to exist. Man, Team Top Hat was so insufferable that even after being banned we're still dealing with his annoying bullshit. His CN accounts were deleted for selling rewards, using Nintendo as his personal free delivery service for his own gain, and God knows what other stuff he was up to, probably using "sister" codes to get that many coins.

Before filling a survey they explicitly say that it should be filled by the person who most wanted to play the game in that household, whoever that is. Besides, that just doesn't make any sense. Fill surveys in your family member's name or just call them over for two minutes, problem solved.

I realize it doesn't make any sense. But bans have happened, and I'm trying to make sense of them. And just going by what I was reading in those threads I posted. It is likely that something else was going on in addition that we aren't hearing, but I don't want to give others advice without the warning. People in that thread were quoting the TOS line stating:

MISUSE OF CLUB NINTENDO.
You may not:

register the same Nintendo product more than once, unless expressly permitted by us;

but again, it is two seperate people registering the product so I don't think it applies really other than "express" consent which is never given AFAIK. That said, there have been account holds and bans and if not that, it isn't entirely clear what the reasons were for those bans

What? I've been doing it for a while and nothing's happened to me. They let you register the same game with family members for a reason.

  • Pinball (NES) - Wii U - 70 (At one point, this VC game had a 60 coin reg. survey. Anyone know if it still does?)

I'd like to know that as well.

190 coins to platinum and 140 to get earthbound. Things are not looking good for me lol :(

Is there a way to confirm if a download code is good without redeeming it?
When redeeming on the eShop, if you don't have enough free space on the SD card, you can see if it still works but it will remain unredeemed. Of course, you have to make sure you definitely do not have enough free space or you'll waste a code!

So, due to the site being down during the beginning of the month, I lost a Post Play that expired on Feb. 4. I e-mailed Nintendo Support asking for a solution and today I got a response.

Hello,

Thank you for your patience. The issue you were having with your Club Nintendo account has been resolved. You should now be able to log into your account and complete your survey.

It's very important to note that your Product Registration survey for Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire will expire on 2/24, so please complete the survey as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your Coins.

We consider this matter resolved and have closed the incident. If you have any additional questions, please contact us via our online webform (http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/ask). ;

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.
Chris N.
So if anyone else lost a survey during the major downtime, know that there is a way to get it back.

Are you able to only register 1 copy of a game. I just picked up Mario Kart 8 new, but already registered that game through a hooked up code previously.

Yeah, you only can register 1 copy unless you have a family account in place.
That way, you could register both games under different names/members.

What's funny tho is that you can actually register two copies of the same game under the same NNID and CNA if they are retail and download versions respectively.
