Sure sounds like that to me, too. I get the 'brain says no' stuff, though. How I ended up with my current girlfriend, who, ironically, I would have thought was out of my league.

As far as the valentine's day crap goes.... I look at it in terms of economic realities. You either spend a bunch of cash on getting loaded by yourself, or you spend quadruple that getting loaded with the girlfriend. All so you can get some by night's end....if she hasn't blacked out yet, anyway.

My Valentine's day hasn't been all that bad so far. I got to sleep in, I have the day off work, the house to myself, video games to play, and a big bag of candy to eat. I plan on spending the day in my pajamas and Hello Kitty slippers and just relaxing.

i guess it would be depressing if i never had a girlfriend, although i've never had a girlfriend on Valentine's Day. i do see couples all the time (pretty much everyonein town is taken), holding hands, laughing, and having fun together and think "yeah, that'd be nice", but it's not something i wanna pursue right now. i'm more interested in bettering myself before worrying about finding someone else for a serious relationship.

Now, a buddy or one-night stand... that's another matter altogether. i could seriously use one of those right about now...
