Vampire: the Masquerade Swansong | Trailer

Has there ever been a franchise that has delayed and stalled their marquee sequel while also announcing 2 new games within the franchise?

Actually they did sort of a visual novel game last year also. Just a reminder, I have said constantly, we went thru ALLLLLL the Vampire hype around True Blood and Twilight for yearsssssss and we STILL HAVE not gotten a sequel let alone just ONE fcking Vampire RPG game( i can think of). Holy shit, i cant think of an easier template.

What the FUCK was that?

I can't believe they're milking the franchise without even releasing a proper sequel.

At this point the damn spinoffs will come out first, ruin the hype for everyone, and the actual game will likely get panned.

Bloodlines was also technically a spinoff, thus the subtitle. It originates from a series of D&D style Table and Dice RPGs called "The World of Darkness" where "Vampire: the Masquerade" was the Vampire themed one, and Bloodlines was a part of that. Lets not forget that even before VTM:Bloodlines came VTM:Redemption, that played like a Diablo style RPG with deep yet linear story.

Making a new game with another subtitle in a completely different style isn't at all out of the books. The world of Darkness is a big franchise that could easily be licensed to a billion smaller mediums like Warhammer, and they wouldn't even had to follow the same tone. They could even make if they wanted a pachinko game called "Vampire The Masquerade: Ball Breaker" and a porn game called "Vampire The Masquerade: NightSuckers", and turn those into franchises as well.

This Swansong now looks like Movie Simulator game like Life is Strange, and who knows. It might be good, and we'll have to get a Swansong 2 as well.

Power, wealth, immortality, at one point or another, Galeb has had it all. He's traveled the world, amassed a fortune, and established himself as one of the oldest and most feared Vampires in the city of Boston. And yet, he's left wanting, grasping for something he's lost. Or perhaps something that was never there to begin with.

Galeb is one of the 3 playable characters whose intertwined stories will decide the fate of Boston in Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, coming in 2022 to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Meet Emem, the third playable character in the narrative RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong. She's a century-old former jazz diva who will be playable along with Galeb and Leysha. Swansong will be out on PC (via the Epic Games Store) in February 2022.

So.............
Are we gonna get Bloodlines 2, at all?

It feels like we're just getting other games but not the big one that most of us want lol.

Still, they know damn well how big of a cult classic Bloodlines is and that nobody really gives a crap about that other nerd shit based on world of darkness or whatever. This is basically just a big cocktease and it's wearing more and more thin the longer they delay the game that everyone actually wants.

The fact that you had to explain that this Vampire The Masquerade logo doesn't mean Bloodlines sequel is kind of a proof of that.

What's the issue?

These are ENTIRELY separate games from completely different developers and publishers. One has nothing to do with the other outside of being based on the same universe. Nobody is being a cocktease at all here.

I never played this game but they put out a tailer that looked like it was first person , was that cancelled it looked decent.

As mentioned, this isn't BLOODLINES 2. There are a TON of games in this property and so you pretty much have to go off the subtitle to know what you are getting.

. . .that said, the graphics work in this does not look great. Also, we're nearing two years out in the pandemic, can we stop using it as a crutch for delays? If you haven't figured out how to pivot in a COVID world you aren't going to.

Get a gameplay overview of Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, the upcoming story-based RPG that will let you use stealth, persuasion, investigation, and good ol' brute force in order to solve the mystery of who's attacking the Boston vampire community. Swansong will be released on May 19 for PC (via the Epic Games Store), Xbox platforms, and PlayStation platforms.

Looks janky AF but has potential - reminds me of The Council, which was one of my favorite games in the PS4 era. Will this be a full-priced release?

Looks like it has its heart in the right place but has ambitions dampened by an ultra-cheap production. Probably will ends up as an average game fans will like but nobody else will ever play.
What happened to that one everyone was excited for, blood lines 2? Did that get cancelled?
Hardsuit Labs had to be removed from the project. Paradox moved Bloodlines 2 to a new studio but AFAIK refuse to say which one.

Wow, sounds like something that was announced way too early then, like dying light 2 was
