Holy shit this episode was on fire. First with the shit analogy then dipping into robust and falling into the porn star banging 200 dudes and finally landing in the oh so horrible but fucking hilarious dark ending. I felt so awful for laughing at every joke.

But the way Gary takes care of her is so sweet. I wish I had a Gary.

This is the only show on right now that I wish was longer. Every week that's how I feel.

The entire sequence with the new senators was amazing, I couldn't breathe. So happy we get 10 episodes this year. Wish we got 12 next year but it'll probably be 10 again.

I was hoping Selina would get to more directly slap Sue down. It's one thing to bask in a brief moment of being in the spotlight, it's another when it's due to making a fool of yourself and those you represent.

Yeah I'm kinda confused about that. Did Sue do that on purpose? And the way she ran with it was pretty strange for Sue, didn't really seem in line with her character. They should have featured Sue more in the episode IMO. And I wish there was a scene between Selena and Sue, a full scene I mean.

Still, a wonderful episode nonetheless.

it felt a bit like a 48 minute episode crammed into 30. i would have liked more explanation and payoff from the sue subplot and more bickering between selina and the defense secretary.

the timed noodle analogy was beautiful though, and i think i'm going to crack up next time i hear a politician say robust

This season keeps getting better: the swearing Oh, Ruby! I wish that . . . was . . . my cousin's name., Sue's robust committee on efficiency committee I don’t have a sense of humor, and neither should you that lead to the eventual frustrated Selina telling the grinning Cliff Do you need to Google it?! and the whole hostage thing including the noodle thing was simply amazing.

OMFG, so many great parts this ep. The "End of an era" stuff got me the most though.

And it was actually nice to see some compassion/heart in an Ianucci thing. Cynicism makes for better humor but Ianucci's style is nothing short of biting, so it's good to have a little reprieve from it.

what can i say that hasn't been said about veep? it's hilarious, fast, witty, sharp, topical, and god damnit if it doesn't bring all of those to the table each week and have me laughing my tooshie off. veep is fantastic and hilarious. i highly recommend to those who enjoy humor.

Really? I'm the exact opposite. Most of season one and the season two premiere were merely good, but the last two episodes have been great.

Yeah, this season has been much better than the first, imo. Chemistry, timing, writing that we've seen so far wasn't there yet. Still not as good as Thick of It, but getting closer.

The noodle analogy had me rolling, but then the timer went off and I fucking lost it. That was absolutely incredible.

Definitely, it really hit its stride in the back end of last season and is continuing that here.

Also, CLAY DAVIS!
