Now we just need confirmation of a non crappy/typical Motorola camera. Hopefully the Kodak clearpixel rumors are true and the camera delivers.

If this phone is $200 and I can get it without losing my unlimited data (major fuck you to Verizon on that one), I'm definitely there.

2200mAh battery is great for a dualcore CPU and sub-5" 720p screen. It will have substantially better battery life than iphone5 and every other highend android phone [exept maxxhd].

That textured back looks like it'll attract dirt very easily.

GNex back looks a lot like this and it doesn't get dirty. But mine is scuffed up though... so I guess it depends on Moto's build quality. edit: mine is dark gray though... back won't necessarily be white, aren't you supposed to be able to choose your design on the back cover?

Well that'd be amazing, but I just need a full day. I just let it charge overnight.

This is an absolute requirement with my next phone. Is the Razr Maxx still sold? Is that the largest battery in a phone ever?

These pictures make it look like the trim around the front of the phone is not flush with the screen. I would not be surprised if this is done to make the phone less likely to crack the screen when dropped face down.

On the Google shareholder call, Larry Page mentioned two avenues of improvement for phones in general: battery life and durability when dropped.

Very nice. Battery is confirmed, and screen is 4.7".
That's suprising. We went from 4.3, to 4.5 and now to 4.7. :D

10mpix camera is also a surprise. Processing performance is higher than I expected.

If this thing is less than 350 off-contract available for Verizon (doubt it), I'm in...day one.

Before seeing this thread, I honestly forgot Motorola still makes phones.

I thought they just became a enterprise/data communications company

Do you guy's think this phone will get timely updates from Google comparable to Nexus phones?

Also, can you get LTE on T-Mobile/Walmart's $30 plan if you're in one of the supported markets?

If I can buy this for $200 Off Contract with Verizon, I'll finally get my Android Fix and be able to keep my iPhone 5....

I need to buy off-contract though to keep my unlimited data.

Then yeah $200-$250 will be the ticket. Unfortunately you won't be able to buy it with an unlocked bootloader but doesn't seem like you're looking for that.

Verizon will not sell a smartphone for $200-250 unsubsidized. And since it has to be in Verizon's system (as in, Google couldn't sell a compatible one on the Play Store without Verizon's okay) I really wouldn't get your hopes up.

That said, I highly doubt this phone will be $200-250 even as an unlocked model, but I guess there's nothing to do but wait and see.

16gb without a SD card? What is this? 2010?

Fuckkkkkkk
in 2010 all phones had SD slots. This is 2013.

My Nexus S doesn't have an SD slot. :p

My RAZR Maxx HD is terrific. Beast of a battery yet still thin. I regularly come home after a full day of usage with 60 percent left. Also, no problems with build quality etc. Tough phone. There will be an update soon too...the Ultra Droids.

$200 and I'm in day one. And I don't even need a new phone lol

me too. My Galaxy Nexus is totally fine after a year, but the USB port and headphone jack are absolute crap at making a connection... so annoying.

so if it's $200 off contract, might as well. If they are selling the new Nexus 7 for $230, you'd think a $200 4.7" phone would be doable.

In 2010 I had an iPhone 3 with 16gb. Then I got a iPhone 4 with 32gb. It was like heaven. Now I have a galaxy nexus with 16gb :(

My GNex was 32gb, then iPhone 5 32gb then I went to a Nexus 4 16gb, and now S4 32gb. Yeah, 16gb is definitely doable, but if given the option I really like 32gb.

What do you guys use all that space for? My phone has 16GB and in two years I've used approximately 500MB.

Screen's too small for video (4"), sound is worse than my dedicated MP3 player.... ?

Cached Google music library, games (multiple ones that are either small or up to 2gb), 4+ gigs of photos/videos (they are automatically uploaded into dropbox though), zoey videos, a couple of emulators.

32 is minimum for me. Pretty much the perfect size to be at least comfortable with.

Definitely! I'm not sure about the size, guess the Maxx's is larger, but the Galaxy Note II proved to be rock solid for way more than a day, other than being a much better phone overall. I'd just wait for the Note III now, if battery's what you're into.
