399$ is a buy it now price for me. Awesome if true.
I'm happy for anyone who is excited about Scorpio and for those who end up purchasing and enjoying their gaming on one.
However, all the BS marketing and console war stuff is ridiculous. Everyone needs to keep in mind that PS5 can't be too far off and Scorpio's REAL challenge isn't 4 teraflops - it's trying to compete with Sony's growing library of exclusives.
You are one person. Stop acting like $399 is "obvious" like you are so much smarter than everyone else. We don't even know the official price and are just going off rumor.Funny?
Feel free to go through my post history where I've been on the $399 train since E3 2016.
$399. As expected really given a year out from Pro.
Honestly still shocked people thought it would be over $400. It's a stronger console but coming out a year later...
MS PR worked wonders.
Yea, lots of folks predicted price while falling for marketing. Doesn't make predictions such as $499 any less ridiculous.
Yea, and those people are foolish for falling for PR so easily. It's a stronger console but a year later than Pro. Expecting $449 is still reasonable but $499?
Yea, that's pretty foolish.

So they are going to lose a ton of money to beat their competitor. Smart.
A console released a year later after the other is more powerful.
More news at 10.
True haha.Once you dont take things here so seriously this place will be better experience I promise you.
That's great.
Show me the games Microsoft. My One S is a glorified 4k player.
JUST GIVE ME FUCKING FABLE 4 PHIL!
So they are going to lose a ton of money to beat their competitor. Smart.
It is a coincidence, X10S101 robot gets you the same result. Those characters are a genuine sequence of characters scanned in from an old magazine.

Literally every post I see from you is a try hard attempt to shrug off a possible 399 price. People with way better grasp at tech than you have predicted 499 (Richard Leadbetter from DF). 399 is a great price for the specs offered. It's 45% more GPU power and 50% more RAM, not to mention other things. The "lolol one year later" logic is lazy and stupid.

You should really slow down with all those assumptions there. First of all, the Scorpio is more powerful than the Pro so they aren't really going toe to toe. Secondly, MS hasn't exactly provoked any kind of meaningful reaction from Sony.C) Does Sony actually have the cash reserves to play the power specs game with Microsoft? MS screwed up badly thinking the Kinect would make up for a lack of power. But they seemed to have learned from that, and seem to be willing to go toe to toe with Sony, using their large cash reserves to force Sony to spend more money than they can really afford.
$399 is a great price. Wonder if they'll have an Elite version with the controller and/or some trade-in deals.
Hoping the $399 price is real and drives PS4 prices down further so I can finally buy one.
But if they had actual exclusives, it's possible they could still get people to pay for an XB1 or Scorpio.
With that misguided 'Play Amywhere' program though, few people need to buy an Xbox console or pay for XBL to play the games that they show - they're all playable on PC.
I hope I can defraud GameStop, the HDMI port of my XB1 loses signal at any slight movement of the HDMI cable.
This too, I want a Pro.
$399 was the obvious price point months ago.
You bought into Microsoft's narrative of premium console and expected to pay an arm and a leg when in reality it was always targeted at the reasonable price of $399.
It has a 1.8TF difference between Pro which launched last year for $399.
The educated guess has always been $399.
Shit, I certainly hope so. I wished they would let their lineup do the talking.
They seems super confident, almost cocky even.
I'd buy one if the 10 means it has the ability to run Windows 10 and function like a PC, play PC and Xbox games, etc

is it just me thinking that the xbox scorpio will run windows 10 s?

And as people already pointed out. If you put in google it links to this.

Would be a megaton if it could run Steam and PC games.
Exactly it works out for everyone to hope that this thing is actually 399Hoping the $399 price is real and drives PS4 prices down further so I can finally buy one.
Fixed that for you.
MS are down by roughly 25 million units and the gap between PS4 and X1 will CONTINUE to widen. You know why? Xbox brand does NOT appeal to the rest of the world outside of the usual US/UK. Same song and dance. They have a brand problem.
More powerful doesn't matter if you don't have games. And the games you have, I can play on my PC.
No. First of all I'm going to take MS's 'premium' talk at face value instead of the opinion of some random poster here, at least until an official announcement is made. After all the PR speak, Spencer quotes, and the DF blowout I have a very hard time believing $400 is the price point let alone an "obvious" one. That attitude just reeks of message board intellectual superiority.

"You're going to be able to fuck your Xbox for the first time ever, consensually!"
