"With a combination of area patrols, multiple bubbles full of challenging enemies, each culminating in heroic boss fights, and all set in the haunted corridors of a metamorphosed Dreadnaught, The Nether activity will find Guardians besieging the sprawling ship to disable its weaponry and prevent the Taken corruption from spreading," said Bungie editorial lead Brian Ekberg.

"With lessons learned from previous rogue-lite experiments in Destiny 2 such as The Coil from Season of the Wish and Deep Dives from Season of the Deep, Guardians can also look forward to a constantly varied experience. For example, after completing a bubble, the Power level of enemies increase. In addition, the activity introduces a new twist to the combat formula in the form of boons that directly affect gameplay."

Why didn't Disney just ask us?! We could have told them that Destiny 2 is dead and Bungie is dead.

I would love for Bungie to make a single-player FPS campaign. That would interest me greatly and I think it's a massive waste for them not to.

That being said, those writing their obituaries are entirely misinformed, not because of this Disney collaboration, but because Bungie has never actually failed. Every game they've released has been a major hit.

Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, Destiny, Destiny 2.

A lot of people think everyone who worked on Halo 1 and Halo 2 have left Bungie, but if you look at the credits on mobygame, you can tell most of the people are still there or at least were there through Witch Queen. We also know that Final Shape was received as the best expansion Destiny 2 ever had.

Their greatest failures have been Witch Queen and delaying Final Shape and Marathon... imagine doubting them because of delays and one poor DLC.

Loved D1 and the first half of D2 but all the grinding, RNG, restrictions on parties/levels and being burnt by the last 2-3 paid DLCs being shite I have no more interest in D2. Cool AF Royal Guard design though for a Warlock.

Because Star Wars is in a great position nowadays right? And it's not like those 2 fatass bitches directing Star Wars won't take advantage of that, right?

Xbox is dead and they're "working" with them on Blade and recently Indiana Jones. Not sure what you're getting at.

We also could have told them that they are dead. Flop after flop.

Xbox is dead

You think a trillion dollar company is just gonna fold because of a few rough years? Meanwhile, Sony and Nintendo are still fucking over their fanbases with $ 70 games and zero consumer friendly services

If you're gonna criticize Xbox, at least make it a real argument instead of this lazy, doomsday talk

Yeah, rough enough for Microsoft to drop billions on studios, fund massive projects like Blade and Indiana Jones, and keep Game Pass as the best value in gaming. If this is what 'dead' looks like, then every other company must be on life support.

Yeah they'd never kill off failing divisions. I just bought a Zune Phone X with Windows mobile.

Xbox sales have flatlined, lots of their users conditioned to not buy games, their first party games forced multiplat.

I love when two dead franchises come together

I remember when Destiny had lore - a world of its own. Now it's just another shitty nightclub bragging about all its celebrity guests.

Desperation homie, they're literally trying to save it and floating subscriptions to do it.

When two old guys get together, head out for old times' sake, both clinging to the idea that they're still relevant.

It's Joever guys.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't had these already. It shouid be like Fortnite and CoD, run around as Taylor Swift partied up with Snoop Dogg and Batman with Red Bull cans as your little floating thing that I forgot the name of.

Officially sponsored bikes. Zoom around in a Ford Escalade or something.

Dreadnaught = low lift because of reused assets.

Roguelite elements = high replayability with low lift because it's a single repeatable mode

I just can't do it anymore. I can't. I'm glad some are still having fun. lol.

Yea the game died for me as well and I was a diehard, 7k hours, loved the pvp to death, trials, banner... But when they basically took away the chaotic fun of pvp and made all guns virtually feel the same in pvp just best me down..

When they removed guns like NF, the specialness started to die for me and then like 4 years of zero care for pvp.. Fawk off bungie

They're made for each other. Star Wars is dead and Disney is dead.

Destiny is still a good and fun game. They can't just reinvent the game completely.

It was lightfall. Not witch queen.

Yeah… I'm done. I muscled through all of that main games, plus the season stories for 10 years. I'm done bro. I'm done.
