VGLeaks: Durango's Move Engines

I see that the Xbox speculation threads are closely following the Wii U spec threads :p
First comes the hype and overestimation of power, then the reveal that it might not actually have all that hyped up power, magic chips comes into the discussion at this point, and then finally the truth is revealed.

Indeed. The only difference is, that it will not be a overestimated to the point WiiU was.
 
Lol superMTW was also the guy with the Halo 4 leaks.

He was banned in an instant here on neogaf if I remember correctly.

Don't know if I can trust him again.

He did have the game though, and gave us that hilarious barn video. If this means more barn videos, then I'm ok with this.
 
What if Durango is just a closed system gaming PC by Microsoft?!

It runs a form of Windows 8 and PC games including off Steam, it's basically a Steambox, that does all your media....and has some exclusive games that are Durango only and Kinect only (that would not be available on Steam).

It would explain the larger amount of RAM (due to OS).

It's been discussed on this forum before, and I wouldn't be surprised as Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates wanted windows on the original Xbox but were talked out of it. Now we have Ballmer wanting greater unity between the Microsoft's products and you then get windows on Durango.

Was it for the Durango that the 4Tflop number was seriously discussed at some point, or just the Orbis :p
But yeah, I don't think it'll change much spec wise from what is known as of now.
 
I really can't wait for these to just be announced so the fanboy bickering will be about actual news. The ps4 looks promising from the supposed leaks but the new ms first party studios interest me. I can't wait

Well the 1.8 Tflop number leaked for the ps4 is only the gpu from what I understand so the console could be considerably more powerful. Am I wrong? I never thought 2.5-3.5Tflop was a crazy target for these machines.

These consoles are looking like they will struggle to get to 2TF never mind 3TF.
 
Why does everything have to boil down to the console war and Durango Vs PS4 , we can't even have s simple tech conversation\speculation specific to Durango(not a word was said about PS4) without someone coming into say how it will not be as powerful as PS4(and offering no insight)........sigh.....dumb

but nobody here got upset? You linked to a video of yourself verbally saying things that you could have just written here. Imagine if every post was just a link to a video of that persons post. How crazy would that be? Of course I give you props for the random Rayman footage. Made me chuckle! I still think the whole thing was weird.

That claim false lol

When I linked the video, I had about 18 thumbs down. After linking it here on GAF, I received about 30 thumbs down in less than an hour. Thumbs down on YT=I've destroyed your mind so badly with thoughts and opinions that hitting that dislike button has help some ease their pain. The comment section is a real treat too. I know a lot of the hate I received on that video came from GAF because people are mentioning the post here.

It was a mistake. I apologize to those that were hurt over a simple video. I like it here at GAF and will try and do better with actually posting my thoughts instead of linking a few of my videos.

have you ever tried to post a free giveaway code publicly on GAF? It's gone before an actual member can claim it. That's because GAF has a crazy amount of people lurking. I'm sure some of your thumbs down did come from here, I'm just saying a lot probably didn't. And the whole "sorry for those i hurt..." I have no idea where you're going with that as I wasn't offended by your post. I just thought it was stupid/weird and said as much.

I wasn't trying to single one person out. Just generally speaking for those that were hurt and this was clearly the case given the comments and the thumbs down on that video.

We're not talking MS/Sony here though but rather questionable sources (SuperDAE). I dont have a dog in this fight, PC gamer here. But yeah it's clear you seem to rooting for a certain platform and it's absolutely fine.
