Is Syphonfilter Greatest Hits? I recently cracked open my Syphonfilter trilogy and maybe might swoop up this new one.

Nope it isn't

Don't forget to use these coupons at Target

So is there a new Gamer's Gift Card for 2005? I saw a PS2 one, but it was $5 off anything $29.99 or more.

No more $5 off $19.99? :(

The discussion over at CAG seems to think Best Buy might be phasing them out. I picked up 10 of the 2005 $5 off $19.99 coupons yesterday. Those cards were near checkout though. The ones in the game section were the PS2 and EA Sports coupons mentioned above.

Damn why doesn't Sega drop the price of ESPN BaseBall to 20 dollars? I've got two friends over Xbox Live that along with me-would love to play it against one another.

I'd buy the game for all 3 of us if the game were this cheap.

The deal with the GGC is as follows. All stores carry the PS2, Xbox, and EA $5 off of $30 cards.

Some stores carry the generic $5 off $20 cards. But NOT ALL.

It varies from store to store. For example, I live in Upstate S.C. and the Anderson store has all the giftcards. The Greenville store only carries the $5 off $30s. If you ask the G'ville employees about the $5 off $20s they'll act like they don't know what you're talking about. This is very interesting since last year around April both stores carried the regular GGC's. Then all of the sudden every GGC from last year disappeared and were replaced with GGCs from the year before that had expired coupons.

Something's up with the distribution and display of these GGCs. I don't know if it is based on different markets, store sell-though, abuse level, or manager's discretion. Fortunately, although I work in Greenville, I live close enough to the Anderson store to make a trip over there. I just bought 10 of the $5 off $20 cards last night and put a $1 on each, just to have the coupons when I needed them in Greenville.

Fry's has a $99 GCN Bundle that includes:

- GCN w/ controller
- P.N. 03
- Madden 2002
- Die Hard Vendetta
- Turok Evolution
- HVG Starter Kit

YMMV, but some stores are doing this with the Mario Kart GCN Bundle.

Other Fry's deals:

P.N.03 = $14.99
MGS3:SE = $39.99
Max Payne 2 = $14.99

I'm gonna pick up Syphonfilter: Omega Strain tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone who's played it cared to share some opinions about it for me? Is it as good as the older ones? Control, graphics, yadda yadda yadda...?
