The guy that filmed the video which is on Instagram said the passenger was ejected and was conscious and talking and later died I think from bleeding out as per his comments. He said his name was Zach.Passenger ejected aka it was female, and not had her seatbelt on. Vince was 55yo so defo had plenty fire/desire in him still, including for making games ofc, as for other activities any relatively healthy male loves/needs- he didnt make that crazy amount of money and reached his lvl of status to stay celibate...
His wife filled for divorce in 2015, just gotta add 2 to 2 here.
Ofc we shouldnt judge/assume, but being humans, im sure many of us thinking what im thinking.
Big loss for gaming industry nonetheless, guy was basically GOAT of fps genre, super sad loss, i know from moral standpoint every human life is precious, but logically thinking, his life was worth so much more compared to avg joe, yet he was taken from us way too early![]()
He made Cod and saved Battlefield. Both my current self and teenage me owe him a huge debt.At what was probably the best moment of his career, this made me feel extremely sad. My condolences to the families of those involved in the accident.
R.I.P. He was a legend…
While not video its pretty easy to find on Google maps. Its close to islip saddle. The tunnel not that far west of it, angeles crest tunnels.does anyone have any video from a drivers perspective on how hairy this turn is coming out of the tunnel?
That's what everyone is saying. I'm curious to see it
I've seen people fuck up with cars of that configuration off the line. What he was doing in the tunnel on a narrow road...man. Unfortunate indeed.Too fast coming out of the tunnel. If that's a Ferrari 296 as reported, that's a mid engine RWD car, which is a layout that has a propensity for understeer when you don't have power on. He tried to reduce speed but was already in the corner and understeered off the pavement into the barrier.
Very unfortunate.

This is just silly, dude was going way too fast (easily done in a supercar) for the corner and understeered off the road, it's that simple. He had money for a million dollar car but no money for renting a closed racing track.
Absolutely reckless and a wonder nobody else got killed.
I'm sorry for his family but this was like a planned suicide or someone who has nothing to lose.

Was that seriously him? Wow I have no words. What the hell was he doing? What a loss to the industry and his family. RIP
I also drive a fast car, but I think about the consequences. He paid the price for not thinking about them. This is just silly, dude was going way too fast (easily done in a supercar) for the corner and understeered off the road, it's that simple.
Yea you can have that viewpoint, but not very tactful in a thread about his death manyup, sadly he had a passenger.
but whenever I see someone recklessly driving and crashing, while no-one else got harmed, I say... good... because if they're dead or paralysed they can't drive recklessly anymore
reckless drivers dying is a net positive for society. they are a danger for innocent bystanders.
Not necessarily, you can also be showing offI also drive a fast car, but I think about the consequences. He paid the price for not thinking about them.
If you drive like that, you're done with your life. That's what I mean when I say it's like a planned suicide. It's the same as driving drunk.

Another video, shows more of the turn. This one happened to be an accident as well..

Not necessarily, you can also be showing off
You seen to think I'm defending his driving. I am not, i'm arguing with your "suicidal" angle. He showed off his death to us and paid one million dollars for it.
Sorry, but there is a reason speed limits exist.
What would you think if he had crashed into a family car and killed the entire family?
If you own a supercar, rent a racing track and go there. I know middle-class people who have racing bikes and can afford to rent a racing track as a group.

It seems to be a spot for car enthusiast, they were either part of it to film, or already there to record anyone coming throughThis is AI I'm assuming? Why would a literal gaggle of people be filming a random spot of a desolate highway in the middle of the day? Unless this was this like some impromptu illegal Fast and Furious style street race or something?
I might be a pussy, but there's no way I'd yolo it out of a dark tunnel. Speed and cars are fun and all, but I try to drive like worst case scenario is always a possibility. Freak accidents or malfunctions notwithstanding.
