Sounds like communism tbhOr maybe people can just follow posted speed limits which are there for a reason?

Fuck it. Put a stop sign there. And a sign before it saying a stop coming up. If putting a stop sign there can save potential life, why not? There could definitely be signage at least that it's opening up to a sharp corner from low visibility.
One of the other videos posted here with a vehicles crashing off the mountain shows much more including a lot of the winding road up to the two tunnels. The only signage at all are the max height sides on the tunnels themselves. Absolutely nothing else which is insane.Knowing everything gives cancer in California I'm guessing there are plenty of signs before entering the tunnel.
WelpThe guy that filmed the video which is on Instagram said the passenger was ejected and was conscious and talking and later died I think from bleeding out as per his comments. He said his name was Zach.
And he did have his seatbelt on but the entire seat bucket was also ejected. They dragged him to safety away from the burning car, bucket and all.
Isn't there a way to 'fix' this?
Like can they possibly extend the tunnel cover forward, close to around the bend so it avoids opening directly into sunlight at all times of the day?
Can only help so much. There is an exit ramp on my commute with yellow black chevron sign indicating its a tight turn - about a year ago start taking the turn and there is a car facing the wrong way, actually up on the concrete barrier, had obviously taken the turn too fast and lost control. They add flashing yellow lights to the chevron signs. Cut to a few days ago - almost identical crash in the exact same location. There could definitely be signage at least that it's opening up to a sharp corner from low visibility.
Found one
That's crazy. That's not the same section of the crash, but even that snippet is two small tunnels and zero signs there's a big turn.
I didn't see any in this video. Note that driver posted the video, so he survived rolling off the mountain. That's crazy. That's not the same section of the crash, but even that snippet is two small tunnels and zero signs there's a big turn.
Does that entire stretch of thin roads, tunnels and bends have any signs?
BF6 is pretty remarkable in this day of age of bad shooters. What else happened in this crash? He just saved Battlefield and now this. Way too soon, man. Rest in peace.
I actually liked Titanfall 2.Not just CoD, but also Titanfall, and just revived Battlefield. Making it the first game to beat COD outside of GTA.

Famous one in Seattle,
yeah wtf. It's sad to see talented people meet such brutal ends. He will be remembered through his work I am sure. That's sad, he was a mastermind in his field. RIP
Even if you have signs, people ignore them. People generally know that speed signs are understated and you can go faster. There's off ramps turns with 30 km/hr signs on highways here. You can go double that no problem.I've taken this exit myself several times to enter Seattle from I-5 traveling north. There are like 30 signs plastered everywhere with flashing yellow lights saying "SHARP TURN AHEAD" and "SPEED LIMIT LOWER THAN WHATEVER THE HELL YOU'RE DOING" and people just ignore every sign and fly down the exit and slam on their brakes and there's tire screeching noises as they barely avoid slamming into the concrete wall
It's a very notorious off-ramp and because it's in the middle of the city exiting from a section of I-5 that runs under surface streets there is no way to change the exit design and they have just kept adding more and more signs and flashing lights over the years but people keep right on crashing
You can't make humans look at signs which is why there isn't really any point to adding more signs to the Angeles Crest Highway and it's not like California will do anything anyways when that state can't even maintain existing infrastructure much less consider adding to it
This is AI I'm assuming? Why would a literal gaggle of people be walking and filming a random spot of a desolate highway in the middle of a work day?
Damn rip .
But this smells like dangerous driving. Single car on a scenic road? Car caught on fire? Passenger ejected?
Probably going 100 on a 30.
Famous one in Seattle,
Maybe they will put one up now. That's how these things usually go...takes a tragedy to actually do something about a known issue.Surprised that there isn't a single road sign warning you of the bend...
I think 11 foot 8 proves there's nothing you can do to prevent drivers from being stupid. Can only help so much. Both points are valid - however I would say willingly speeding because "you can do it here" speaks a lot about how you approach road safety. I don't speed - I know if I do I will arrive maybe 5-10 minutes later with a lot more stress. It's just not worth it. It's kinda like people accelerating to get past a single block- why? You need to stop in 300m anyway, what's the point?Even if you have signs, people ignore them. People generally know that speed signs are understated and you can go faster. There's off ramps turns with 30 km/hr signs on highways here. You can go double that no problem.
Best way IMO to actually cap people speeding on off ramps are rumble strips. It wakes you up with the rumble, and who knows how fast you can actually drives on those until it ruins your tires. Maybe they are totally safe going fast on them, but I always slow down when I drive over them.

AI really is making people dumb as shit.
Most people dont work on Sundays.
The road is a hotspot for bikers and car enthusiasts to blast their cars.
Car/Bike spotting is like a whole genre of Youtube videos.
If you got nothing better to do on a Sunday why not go see some fast cars/bikes.
I think this would be a more reasonable position if Zampella was 25 and not 55. Crazy irresponsible. What a sad, senseless loss. He has to easily be one of the greatest and most influential game developers of all time.A little too much finger pointing about the reckless driving here. You've all done something spectacularly stupid at some point and none of you would deserve a bunch of posts pointing out you were being dumb before your body was even cold. Are we all this desensitized at this point?
