I only played the demo so far, anyone who played it more than 1 hour? Didnt seem like it would get more depth later on other than the multiple charged shots to grow flowers and the stuff you should avoid.

That game definitely felt like an iOS game to me.

I think it is an iOS game? Price is right though.

I haven't picked it up yet due to my oft-stated monetary woes, but I would buy it for the music alone.

That game definitely felt like an iOS game to me. I mean sure, I wasnt expecting differently in a 4 bucks game, but I definitely cant see myself having more fun with sunflowers than other recent Vita games (including AC:L) which have worse ratings.

I've spent a few hours on it. I love it. Tried it on iPhone and it just wasn't nearly as nice as the huge screen and more comfortable Vita.

Anything else that will be added to the gameplay other than multiple good and bad clouds?

lol, do you think the Vita's more comfortable? I find it pretty awkward when held in portrait orientation. Just can never figure out how to grip the damn thing properly.

Well... to be fair, a bunch of those threads are about actual news. Sure they inevitably turn into the same old doom and gloom, but they have a right to exist independently.

There are definitely a few doom threads that serve no other purpose than that though.

Yeah, I find my hand fits around it more comfortably than the small iPhone. But I'm one of those who has no problem at all with holding the Vita (no trouble accidentally touching rear touchpad or anything). Maybe it's just me.

Try playing the Fifa demo with the setting of back touch= shoot on.

You'll curse touching it accidentally, haha. I dont have that issue in most games either though.

sony should pull a bandai/tiger and start licensing third party ips

metal gear solid as developed by sony bend
gears of war as developed by japan studio

MW is fun but the IQ just turns me off. It's hard to see what's in the distance and it makes the game unpleasant to look at. I can see why reviewers docked a point or two for that.

I think that's almost what they are doing with CoD, only with Nihilistic, instead of using an internal studio. It sure seems like they are involved somehow, rather than just Activision doing it.

But I would go with something like Japan Studio doing an Elder Scrolls game, and Sony Bend doing Borderlands 2.

Dear Sony,
Where are the demos?! The only way people can test drive your third party titles are at special gaming expos or in your Sony Style stores. I haven't played Most Wanted or AC because of this. It's saddening how all the GameStop, Target, Best Buy, etc. kiosks are exactly the same as they were in February.

Will probably download SFxT for Vita tonight ... I need a new fighter to totally suck at.

I really wish they'd bring VF5:Showdown to the Vita. Favorite fighter period. Close second is VF2.

takao i ain't even on my vita i'm trying to beat ac3

plus i don't even want to talk to you eugh
And OMFG you got it? YAAAAAYYYYY!

XD

let's play!
Yes! They finally got my copy in today. I was so excited to play but I'm trying to get through AC3's story before I really get into it.

plus halo 4 tomorrow

Elder Scrolls developed by From Software?

A few months back I was reading a decade+ old Game.com newsgroup and it was kind of crazy how Tiger got so many IPs. They had Sonic, Resident Evil, Jurassic Park, and more for a handheld that really didn't deserve it. All of it was because of their LCD game business, which granted them licenses to make them. Apparently somehow they were able to make Game.com games with that. They also were keen on making a Furby game that was essentially a Mario clone, and a Gigabits clone of Pokemon.

I'm not entirely certain with the Wonderswan, but from what I can tell that handheld's lineup was very similar. I know the Medabots port for it was done by Bandai itself. Weird times.

Dat IGN Orgarhythm review. Ouch.

Did anyone here buy and enjoy the game?

The sad part about that Orgarhythm review is that they got the one guy at IGN who hasn't touched his Vita in weeks lol. I have nothing against Clements, he's an awesome guy (I follow their podcasts) but idk, I'll trust 'gaf impressions over reviews any day - especially with IGN because they never seem to be happy with Vita games lately.

Except for Sunflowers and Smart As.
They loved those.
Clearly we need more smartphone games on this system.

I used to listen to Beyond regularly although it's more of an occasional thing for me nowadays. I happened to hear last week's ep and it really sounds like all of their criticism comes from a place of love (especially Colin's!).

Those guys obviously want the Vita to do well and are steamed about Sony's treatment of the platform thus far. I'm inclined to agree, mostly.

Go digital on NFS MW. 17 hours since friday...you're gonna want to fire it up quite a lot imo..even after you are done with it. Damn it is fun. Hardly played online yet either..

Add me so when we start playing multiplayer we can play together (I've mostly done single player, too).

Okay, I seriously need to get out of the vita doomed thread. Some crazy hypocracy and idiocy going on in there.

while i agree that some of the arguments made in the thread are more like people who post their opinions with an anti-vita agenda, i'm questioning if 3rd party developers will want to invest in the vita.

i'm worried that the current trend of slow vita sales will deter future development of games on the vita from third parties; are third parties interested in making a product when they know they might not push that many units, furthermore what can sony do about it?(bundles, marketing, price cut? etc)

i do own a vita, my favourite games are gravity rush, sound shapes and i'm playing psone classics for the first time (Xenogears).

Sony honestly shot themselves in the foot by not getting an Activision dev or someone other than Nilistic doing CoD. We'll see if that lighting strikes, but I really doubt it.

this is what i mean. currently COD brand sells itself and sony should have poured more resources maximizing the quality of COD vita BEFORE investing heavily in other products. i'm not saying games like gravity rush is bad, i'm saying give a definitive reason for general consumers to buy a vita (COD) and then draw consumers in further with awesome games like gravity rush.

i also there might hv been other reasons why COD is turning out the way it is. maybe activision were reluctant because of the microsoft/activision relationship or activision didnt care and knew they could still make money with a minimum effort/investment in this game...

Oh I agree, and I'd say most of us here are worried about that. It is just unnecessary and frustrating when every single Vita thread inevitably becomes about how poorly selling the Vita is. It's not that we aren't worried about how poorly it's selling; it's just that we're sick of hearing about it from people who aren't actually interested in the platform. We have some great games to play on some great hardware, so worrying about how well it is selling is neither necessary nor going to help matters.

the iOS game is priced the same as the Vita one, plus this one has Trophies and near support (you can send flowers), plus it has flower breeding lol

I find that using the rear touchpad and the L1 trigger the best way to play the game, you get to see the whole screen :)

Stores display Vitas have received a new update to the demos playable on it and also a better look to the wallpapers used for each screen for the corresponding game. It has a PSASBR demo, When Viking Attacks, Snapshot, and Guacamelee, as well as some others.

Anyone remember the guy here named Trevor I think ot was that made wallpapers for the Vita and Sony reached out to him? Well I think his hands were on these new look displays. It has the outline around the dots for which screen you are on over on the left and there is a swipe up and down graphic that is part of each wallpaper on the left above and below the dots respectively. Those seem like things Trevor was doing here with his wallpapers.

Wait, Sony finally updated these units? If you don't mind me asking, what store were you in? I'll check it out tomorrow when I goto pre order Declassified.

I saw it at gamestop earlier this week and saw it at a best buy tonight. Exact same content and look at both locations. Very smart changes they made to these.

I was at GameStop last week and the system was the same, but the surrounding part of the kiosk looked different than I remember around launch. The one at my local Target had the same system, but displayed small promotional posters for games such as AC and Declassified. Sony is taking a step in the right direction, they just need to get more third party demos on the store.

Cool if it was indeed Trevor. Still using one of his sets even now. Hope any new Vita owners are using some nice backgrounds on their systems.

Just 1 more gold piece and 2 gems until my U:GA plat.
