Altough when it comes to replay value, NFS gets the upper hand. At least for now it replaced Ridge Racer as my "go to" racer.
Although I suspect I will probably go back to RR eventually...
Nice. Too bad this probably won't get an English release.
Hideo Baba has hinted several times that we could see this game and many more from now on. They (NB) are changing they translation policy and their will is to bring to us as many Tales of games as possible.
He also apologized about not bringing ToI R, indeed xD

Quoted for truth. It's just a new city and a much bigger one than people give it credit for. It's actually just over BP's size according to Criterion, and has more than twice the roads/driving areas. There's just more to discover. People are far too quick to judge.
Also, the cop chases are actually a lot of fun. They are seldom a problem, and get pretty easy to shake if you try. Worst case scenario, apart from getting busted, you can also just start any race from the menu, and that will put you in that race and all will be forgotten.
I'm quite enjoying the vast variety of roads and scenery in this game actually. I don't agree that Burnout Paradise is a better game. The only thing I miss from that game at the moment is getting that close to the beach, and the fantastic crashes.
Get klughvdh. It starts out slow but it gets really intense later on.

I got my copy of Burning Skies today (for $10 it though I might give it a try), and it's actually quite decent, the later levels get much better. It's not great by any means but I somewhat blame the resistance lore, which has always been very derivative. So COD:BOD might not be that bad.

lol... it was just a friendly little jab at the fact that I´m getting old.. somebody else posted some game "names" that he wanted to buy.. but I had real problems figuring out what the games abbrevations was.. it´s just me getting old.
People like you are in the best position to play it. Even though the Golden content is crap, the main game is still glorious.

I wonder when ps plus for vita going to finally arrive ? i'm not expecting much for the first 3-4 months but after that it should be pretty sweet. Vita needs more games though. I feel a lot of alright games on the vita are getting great reviews simply because there isn't much out for the system.
I have heard rumblings that Really Big Sky Infinity and Knytt Underground are going to be on the ps plus instant collection which might explain the delay since these games aren't finished yet then again this might be completely false 8( Any guesses for what might be on plus for the first month ?

How is the Golden content crap?
Did someone have a problem like that? I've purchased SFxT on PSN store. I was able to download the game, I've even received the PSN email thanking for the purchase with the transaction ID and it also appears on my transaction history on PSN.
The strange this is this: if I go to PSN store, on vita or on PS3, I can't rate the game because it says that I have to buy it before rating! Other than that, it dont seems to have an download option for this game (i have a "buy it" button instead).
Now, I'm concerned about not getting the extra $20 from last month's promotion.

This one comes down to personal preference.
AC3 on Vita leaves me in wonder that this is on a handheld. Sure it isn't perfect, but in my opinion from what I've played so far (almost at end of Sequence 2) it's really good. The controls are great and the setting, characters, and how well the world is populated are nice. I also am digging the Persona idea and kind of hope this is expanded upon in future games. Maybe make it a bit less restrictive.
Portability: It's harder to just jump in and out of this one than NFS but you can totally do it, both due to mission length and how the Vita works in general with being able to just turn it off. Saves are automatic and frequent so I've never lost progress.
NFS is a blast to play. It's the perfect handheld racer so far in my opinion. There are tons of races, the framerate to me seems really smooth and the sense of speed is great. You can nitpick textures if you're at a dead stop but that's a small complaint because usually, if you're doing it right, you're always rolling hard.
Portability: Perfect. You can pick up and play this game for 5 min and drop it. It's so easy to play just one race and stop to fill whatever time you are trying to fill. Just going around the city and finding all the signs to crash through, the hidden cars, and busting through gates is also rewarding for me and you can spend 5 min just doing that if you're waiting on something to have fun.
Both are great IMO and it comes down to what you dig most.

could you download it..? does it show on your download list..?
try to log in here https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/pc/login.action and see if it registered on your list..

yeah, I was able to download the game and it appears on my download list. And I did play it quite a bit, more than AC3:L, and I was able to rate this one.

shady business practices aside, ridge racer is brilliant. the interface and direction actually feels progressive and forward thinking. really personifies the cool, sleek aesthetic of the vita and capitalises on the synthesis of the touch/button controls.

Mostly small, wholly irrelevant. The only significant parts are the ski trip (Which is nice, to be fair) and the new dungeon, which is awful. The rest of the new events are either tiny (The beach trip, the fireworks show, which are both about a minute long), pervy (The new bath house scene. Oh boy, anime side-boob on previously non-sexualised characters!) or just lame (The 'True Story' song scene).
Hmm, it's still only the 8th. They said we would get details this week, and now that's moved to next week which could be anywhere upto the 16th.
I can't see them announcing the details (which are surely just going to be similar to PS3 details) and then waiting another 2 weeks before we can get it.
I reckon we'll get the deals the same week as we are told about them. The question is, will we actually get any details next week!
Looking at how things have been on PS3 from the Instant Game Collection launch onwards - and assuming we'll get ten games the same as PS3 - I can see it being a couple of first party retail games (I'd say Uncharted or Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, and something like Little Deviants), some first-party PSN stuff (maybe Sound Shapes, Hustle Kings) and then some third-party stuff like Jet Set Radio (Game of the Month), Rayman, Katamari, Dungeon Hunter). Entirely guesses.
RBSI is a possibility, but I'd be surprised if Knytt was given that it's launching on PS3 too. Unless it's the PlayStattion Plus Presents game they've been teasing as coming soon, and it'll be free on both.
I think the chances of having the same amount of instant game collection as the PS3 is slim. It makes sense with the huge library that the PS3 has but the Vita hasn't got close to that much content.
I'm going for one full game and one PSN sized game a month. Maybe discounts on another of each.
I was sure I'd read somewhere that there would be a separate Vita IGC, but the only official thing I can find suggests your option (from the EU Blog in September):
"Games: Plus members get to play the full versions of designated content for PS Vita available on PlayStation Store as long as their membership is effective, at no extra cost."
Oh I have no doubt there will BE an ICG, I just don't think it'll be as many games as the PS3 gets. Currently I can log onto my PS3 and download 4 full games because I have plus. I cannot believe that they'll offer 4 Vita games for free to Plus subscribers.

Really Big Sky and Knytt are both going going to be free on PS3 PS+ so i wouldnt be surprised to see them on Vita too.

How many times have you tried to download the game ? This has happened to me a few times and all i did was restart the download and it worked
Would be quite interested in how they'll justify that seeing as it costs exactly the same as plus on ps3. I understand that the library isn't as big as the ps3s and plus is based on your account so ps3 + vita + 1 plus sub is super great value, but what about vita only owners ?

Sony's argument will be that plus gets you xyz. If you are only able to use x and z because you don't own one of the platforms, that's your problem.

Yup and a decent enough argument if you ask me, Sony aren't making you sign up for Plus, if you don't like the service that it provides for the Vita, don't get it.
I've both PS3 and Vita so them adding in is great news to what I already considered to be an amazing service.

Huh? Even for Vita only owners this deal would be insanely good. You get a 30-40$ game every month plus 2 constant 30-40$ games instantly. Alright, even if you take the cheaper DD titles in account thats still 14 20$ games on average , so 280$ worth of games within a single year.
Not to mention PSP games of course.
That's weird - the IGC on PS3 is 10 games at any one time :/
Like others have said, I'm expecting a pretty solid line-up, because otherwise the service for Vita-only buyers wouldn't be equivalent to the PS3-only subs.

it's funny that you think Sony would feel obliged to treat Vita owners the exact same way they treat PS3 owners
