One more question. Do i still Keep Uncharted and Gravity Rush if i don´t download them as long as i have PS+ or do the games change per month like they usually do on plus? Is check out enough to keep these games for the whole year without downloading them?

Oops DP.

Yes. You keep them as long as you have your sub. If it expires, the content won't be accessible, but remains on your list. Whenever you renew, the content becomes accessible again.

Just out of curiosity, but what will happen with the Cloud saves once your subscription runs out?

It'll stay saved and available to retrieve/be uploaded whenever you renew.

So good.

I think they are saved for a year and then deleted if you never renew.
IIRC, Sony will keep the saves on their servers for at least 6 months after your sub expires. After that they make no promises, but I haven't heard of anyone's saves actually being deleted yet.

My PS3 YLOD'ed about 8 months ago, I'm planning on getting a new one and PS+. I wonder if my saves will still be there.

Thanks for the response guys.

Really surprised that they will let you play games and use the browser simultaneously, expected them to actually lock it out completely. Awesome for people who doesn't have a smartphone, let's hope it has proper html5 support and gif support :P.

They should be.

Q: If I leave Plus and come back, will by Online Game Saves still be there as I left them?

A: Yes. If your Plus membership lapses and you had game save data in the ONline Game Save storage for Plus, it will all be there when you come back to Plus. Of course, this data can be transferred locally to your HDD at anytime as well, but you must have your Plus access to do so.

Can't wait to see what all of the other unannounced changes are.
They did detail all the major ones in the video right?

Awesome. I wonder if it also means the launch of the new Vita browser that is apprantly a lot faster in html5 tests.

Next thing they should do is have trophy and friends app run and sync in the background so you don't have to load them everytime.
Make the UI native res too.

I like Vita OS a lot, but there are 3 things needed right now:
-Faster, better and "always accessible" browser.
-Links to Youtube should open the youtube app.
-Folders or any solution as to increase the number of bubbles.

New Email and reader apps is good too.

The 2.00 FW does include a new browser that uses an improved HTML5 and Javascript engine and better uses the power of the GPU for the rendering engine.

Really pleased to see the news about the browser being a small app. Should get more use now that people don't have to close it whenever they want to game.

Also handy for those that are playing those long ass RPGs and need a guide!

Next update is gonna be glorious! Definetly good for people playing them rpgs. :p

The UI wasn't native res? Whats the res then? I didn't even know. -_-

Fucking THIS.

In fact, I wish the UI gets a revamp. I'm still not liking the bubbles.

I have a feeling you're going to be waiting forever.

I want folders, as well. Custom folders for both Vita and PS3 would be great.

PS3 has custom folders. You just need to know how it works. ;)
You set the category on your PSN items to be whatever you want the folder to be named, then press triangle on the XMB to change the sorting until it's based on the categories.

Yeah, I know. Pipe dream, lol.

You mean square right? And I meant fully customizable, as in being able to name the folder myself and manually placing items inside. I'm referring to games being sorted, I should add.

Happy with the UI here, but what res is it if not native?

It could do with some AA but apart from that I like it.

The UI is fine for the most part. It's really just the bubbles that I dislike. But it's no big deal.

It's sub-resolution like a lot of Vita games. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I know that it's an issue with a number of games.

Yeah, one of those face buttons... I've had it in category mode forever. And you can name the folder yourself, sort of; it's indirect the first time, but once you have a bunch of things in it, you can just press triangle on the folder and then change it's name under information. I do this all the time because I end up putting some games in .PS3 only to realize I wanted to put it in PS3... so I go edit .PS3 folder to remove the . and boom, added to the PS3 folder.

I think you can sort inside the folders, or at least in general, by last played or alphabetically.
And while most of my folders are named generic things, I definitely have "folders" for the following:
.PSN, .Focus, PSX, PS2, Classics, .Fighters, .Favorites, Neo Geo, and Other

Vita desperately needs something like this though, in the least.
Before I cleaned some space off and consolidated pages, I was at the 10 page limit and was running out of space on pages where I was changing things based on categories.
After my Vita crashed and I lost all the customization of my bubbles and wallpapers, plus cleaning stuff out for PS+, I actually have some breathing room now.
But yeah, add folders or increase the number of pages, at least.

I honestly only need folders & icon position memory.
Then I'll be happy.

Assume this is in the works though.
Which reminds me .... where the fuck is 'T@G'? .. and all those other discovery apps?
I mean COD was made in less time than these apps!
(Granted the rush of production is evident with COD)

What is T@G?

Still want it! My 3G is ready!
Always though the system would be nice, kinda like a real life 'Demon Souls' messaging system.

Would go around tagging 'Praise the sun!' everywhere!

Hold on, are you talking about the Vita OS being sub native, or are you talking about the UI in some games being subnative?

I know that Hot Shots used a sub native UI that looked soft while AC:L I think uses a native res UI that looks nice and sharp.

Has this been mentioned?

The PS Vita firmware update 2.0 does more than add PlayStation Plus to the handheld - it improves its web browser, too.

Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter to confirm that the firmware 2.0, out in the US tomorrow and in Europe on Wednesday, makes the Vita's web browser a “small app”, so you don't have to quit games to use it.

“That's little talked about but is a big change,” Yoshida said.

Also, the browsing itself is faster.

These changes are the result of “lots of effort” by Sony's firmware development team in Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.

PlayStation Plus launches on PlayStation Vita on Wednesday 21st November 2012 in Europe alongside the 2.00 System Software update.

Plus members get Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack as part of the Instant Game Collection. You get four games per month alongside the usual extras.

The Instant Game Collection works across both consoles so you'll have a constant library of 14 games and will get at least five new games a month, what amounts to 65 games a year for both consoles. If you already subscribe on PlayStation 3 Plus will carry over to Vita at no extra cost.

Additionally, game saves and trophies can be set to synchronise automatically. Plus nets you up to 2GB of game saves storage (1GB on PS3 and 1GB on PS Vita). Another feature is that the system will automatically start up and accept updates, so they'll be ready and installed by the time you want to use it again.

Sorry, bit hard to bold parts in iOS.

Yes,in the update thread.

Bleh canceling my WiiU order. Too much 'wrong' in it's current state for my tastes. At least I can buy a 32Gb card now :/

Anyone here bought it yet? The Wii U I means :p

I don't know the exact res but i was referring to the bubbles and the 'tear down' pages which are definitely sub native, either they should make them native res or revamp the UI so that it looks clean always.I want more features like:

-Folders
-No 'please wait' and 'signing in' signs
-Faster access to everything
-Youtube app integration with the browser
-Make buttons work with everything

Nope. Not even taking a second glance at it. Well, I'll look at some GB stuff just so I know what it is and soforth, but it's easily the least interesting console launch and launch lineup I can recall.

If the Vita continues to get increased support, I can honestly almost see myself making the Vita my defacto gaming machine.
