Safe to say whatever the game(s) being referenced, it's long gone.

I think what I mostly want is more multiplat releases. Like when games like Most Wanted come out for all consoles and handhelds stuff like that. I don't like COD but I want them to do a Vita simultaneous multiplat release for all future games. All racing and fighting games with Vita releases.

If possible like they have been doing lately: All future Sony Exclusive games to have a Vita version with the PS3 one.

TLOU on the Vita would be great. Not happening.

February 22nd 2013

As a one year anniversary present Sony releases an app for vita which allows users to vote on how they think Sony should market and develop for vita.

Two days later sales are up 150%

Sidescroller's great and difficult. Probably my favorite too but I really love Shooter/Shooter 2 as well. Only one I didn't like was Racers.

Don't like sides roller so much, maybe in my old age I'm losing the capability to play proper SHMUPs. Love shooter and shooter 2, but give the edge to the first one - second one seems to throw too many things at the wall to see what sticks and doesn't gel as well because of it.

And shooter wins because it has remote play. That plus gravity crash PSP on my vita make me very happy

Let me rephrase.

PSN/Other titles that don't use all of the PS3's power lol

Yeah, Journey on the Vita would be awesome. It's really beyond me why they haven't done it yet. They did port flow to the PSP.

And I can't wait for Malicious Rebirth. Have it for the PS3 but I feel it's the type of game that fits the Vita better.

Another game I'd really love to see on the Vita is XCOM. After playing it on the PC these last 4 days, I wish I could carry it around with me.

EDIT: Anyone have the cradle for Vita? Do you recommend it? For some reason it seems it isn't officially available in the EU so I was thinking of getting it from JP.

I haven't grabbed Journey yet because I'm still holding out for a Vita version lol. I would enjoy it much more on a handheld, I think.

Aced LittleBigPlanet Vita's Story Mode! First trophy of 2013 :D
That was quite challenging, and fun!

LBP1 is harder though.

Porting the mobile versions of GTA3 and VC seems like easy money I dont know why Sony didnt get on the phone to rockstar and make it happen.

Those games on the go with controls that dont suck would be great.

I'd honestly settle for mandatory cross play over wifi.

Or the Max Payne games.

Indeed.

But that seems to be the problem with Sony and the Vita. There are a lot of games out there begging for a vita version but 3rd parties need a reason to do it. Sony just isnt given them any reasons right now.

Maybe they are secretly saving game up announcements for the price drop day and we will get a sea of vita news on the day.

It's available on Amazon UK.

I have it. Honestly, if you're not using it to watch things on I can't recommend it over just using the USB - it doesn't have a lateral "guide" which makes plugging it in harder than it should be. It's cheap enough, but in hindsight I'd prefer a more expensive independently powered version.

Only on the Marketplace through just 2 sellers, one of which is VideoGamesPlus (that doesn't ship to countries other than UK via said Marketplace). So it's 'sort of' available. :-)

Should just buy them on Steam. I recently replayed both, and they still hold up real well. The texture work in particular is great.

You're right, I checked and now MP2 is available in Europe (it wasn't since 3 months ago) and probably I will, but you know, Vita fits very well for this kind of game, I'm playing Stranger's Wrath and loving it very much... I'd really love to play MP while I'm in train :D

Hey guys!. What is the opinion about the official Vita trigger grip?. I have read opinions about the PDP and Hori one but nothing about the official.

Yeah that tweet is from E3 that year, when their logo was on a big slide in the presser. Rockstar Leeds are up to something (no releases since Beaterator, and the iOS GTAs etc have been outsourced), and they are the handheld team. Their job listings indicate something for mobiles (references to touch-centric platforms), but also something 'next-generation' - that could mean PS4, or Vita in reference to PSP being the last portable generation. Who knows.

IIRC Rockstar Leeds has become another one of Rockstar's porting studios like Toronto. The leads (pardon the pun) from Leeds went to form SEGA Hardlight IIRC. Hardlight was working on a Vita exclusive before it went Vita/iOS, and was then put on hold after SEGA's restructuring. I believe they've now been put on port studio duty too.

I really wish they could have at least said what it was they were developing. I hate when developers are so secretive about stuff they're working on. Don't get me wrong, I also hate when games fall into development hell but when they pretty much say nothing about the games they're working on, it's annoying to me.

Regarding my Unfinished Swan Vita prediction, the guy on charge of the game was asked about a Vita port just after the E3 conference in the (GT / G4 / PS) stream, and he said something like 'I think I still can't talk about this'. He looked like if they were already on it but wasn't sure if he was allowed or not to talk about it.

Rockstar use to be really secretive about their projects. They use to wait until their games are far into production to announce them, and don't use to start to show stuff when the game is almost dome.

Maybe sony exchanged agent for GTA:San Andreas stories vita exclusive for a year or two.

Like foobarry81 says, only through Marketplace sellers and in that case I'd feel safer getting it from cdjapan or play-asia should there be any problem. But your description of it kinda deflated my interest in it as I would mostly use to transfer stuff from my PS3 or to charge it.

By that he meant he can't talk about the vita, you see the 'vita' is a no-no word in sony's internal meetings.

You wouldn't!

In my opinion the game is best played in a dark room with no distractions and a decent sound system or headphones. This is certainly a game for atmosphere and playing on the Vita would absolutely kill it.

However I feel Flower would be a good fit on the Vita with the gyroscope movements.

I saw an ad yesterday for Vita. It was with some Toronto Raptors player (I dunno who it was) driving around with strangers playing PlayStation All-Stars. It then advertised a Vita game sale at EB Games that has already ended.

/SCE Canada spending those marketing dolluhs

Guys what the hell happened to my vita o_O
I kept trying to turn it on but it wouldnt, it would only flash blue slowly on the PS button
Now I finally turned it on and its in safe mode?

Hey guys, long time no see, been a bit busy with new year and only had my phone with me to play stuff and it got me wondering about IAP and the Vita...

Even a relatively simple game like Dead Trigger would be so nice to have and suit the Vita so much... I don't want IAP purchases to take over the platform but it really seems to be the in-thing at the moment for these mobile games (of which there are quite a few that I'd prefer to see on Vita) but Playstation Mobile...it can't do Dead Trigger right? The games need to be compatible with other (weaker) devices or something?

Maybe with the Vita's userbase it isn't worth going the IAP route but there might not be much choice for these smaller developers as people are being pretty selective these days and IAP means a basically free game to try out to see if you like it (in a way that lets you get hooked to it that demos can't always do..)

Can you do IAP with PSN titles? Not just playstation mobile...otherwise there needs to be a section for it and it doesn't really need to be made compatible with the PS3.. Or let Playstation Mobile developers choose to only make it Vita compatible..

Yes, you can do IAP with both PSM, and regular PSN games. Jetpack Joyride, and Treasures of Montezuma Blitz, are both F2P third party games on Vita that use IAP.

Figured Id ask here.

Does Peace Walker digital ever go on sale or is that 30 bucks pretty much the norm?

I just learned (thanks for a friend) about the method to get your Peace Walker HD save from a PS3 to the PSP format and then transferred to Vita.
I want to take it a step further and try tranferring my old PSP save to the PS3 and then from the PS3 to the Vita but I need PW digital to see if it works.

Oh excellent - that pricing style could really work out I think even on Vita if they implement it smartly with individual games. There are a lot of games that people would be struggling to enjoy on their phones compared to the fun they could have with them on Vita - especially with it currently only being in the first year and imo under-fps'ed - these less deep but fun shooters could be great time kills especially at the right price with reasonable IAPs in games that get you hooked.

Cannot wait for that pricedrop...

Even without IAP, the bigger companies like EA and Rockstar have been bringing quite a few titles to even Android when only a few of the phones can handle the games (decently) and they have to sell most of them for chump change before they get anywhere on the charts - because who wants to play those re-makes of pretty complex games on a touchscreen - it's not worth the risk unless it's 99p.

Really can't wait for the Vita price drop.

Yes. Like Takao says, IAP are no problem. The problem is PSM can't handle games like Dead Trigger. It's not because of the hardware it supports - the weakest PSM-compatible device is Xperia Play and that handles Dead Trigger fine. It's just because the SDK doesn't support a lot of things modern mobile 3D games are doing, which is frustrating.
