Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | July 2013 | Slow Month, Fast Games

Congratulations. How much trouble you had with Hardcore Risette Fan?

Thanks! It was tough but I got Hardcore Risette Fan near the end of my first playthrough. I guess what helped was scanning obsessively every new shadow type and always mixing up what personas I had equipped and what characters I had in my party.

EDIT: Buy MK while it's still $5! And check out Silent Hill Book of Memories when it goes on sale tomorrow for $7.50 (US PS+).

Plus: Persona fans should listen to the S.Link FM Podcast done by PersonaGAF. Episode 7 is an interview with Chie's VA and it's quite insightful and hilarious.

makes me kinda sick to see Limbo in the top sales

15 fucking dollars for such an old and short and overpriced on day 1 indie platformer

congrats to the rest though, glad to see AC3 doing well, heres hoping we get another spinoff of AC4

so how bad is Ridge Racer?

if i ignore the logistics of buying the game then having to buy DLC for most of the content, like lets say money isnt an issue, but once you buy the game and have all the DLC packs, is it a good solid Ridge Racer?

does it look nice and run well? interesting tracks?

It IS a really solid Ridge Racer. The presentation and gameplay you expect from RR are all there. It's more of a real RR than the recent 3DS and Unbounded entries if you ask me.

The only real problem for me is that there's no real single player mode. Think Single Race and Time Attack only,
However the online mode and racing against other players' ghosts can be very satisfying.

so basically just pick a track and car and race?

with all DLC included any idea on total number of tracks?

thanks for the input!

True but I also found that the AI sucks in Single Race mode as well. Its way too easy.

Apparently Hotline Miami VITA outsold the PS3 version too!

Here's the thing I'm confused about: does the "Top 20 PS3 & PSN Games" include all PSP/PSV/PS3 games? Note how in the Vita section, Hotline Miami is listed as "Hotline Miami PS Vita", while in the PS3 section is "Hotline Miami". Assuming the Top 20 PSN Games is a universal ranking, it would imply that the PS3 version sold more as Hotline Miami PS Vita isn't in the top 20.

If you're just talking about the Vita version being more popular on that platform than the PS3 version, then my mistake.

Yes, pretty much :(

With the Silver and Gold DLC packs the total number of tracks grows from 3 to 9.
Each also includes 3 cars.
There's an "Ultimate" version of the game that includes all the content from these packs.

There's also some sold separate DLC like the Daytona USA track, the Hornet car and a new Daytona USA inspired music by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi.

There's also tons of free music DLC packs that span all the games.

Here's the thing I'm confused about: does the "Top 20 PS3 & PSN Games" include all PSP/PSV/PS3 games?
No, just PS3 games that are either PSN exclusives or also have a physical release.

I finished Hotline this past weekend. What an awesome ride it was. Literally glued to the screen, all my friends were like "yo that game is sick.." I even got my GF hooked on it!! And she first started playing on the
Police Station level
!!!! She's so awesome! I'm so glad she didn't find it difficult as I realized that its a fantastic game to help her with dual analog coordination.

I can't wait for the sequel. Full of hype. I want the enemies to be more aggresive next time. We'll see...

Ill keep the game around to trophy hunt since its one of the best high score run type games. Literally every mask changes the ENTIRE way you play a level. That's true replayablity right there...

Now I have Ninja Gaiden, Guacamelee, and Soul Sacrifice to get to.... which should I pick up.

I really owe the Soul Sacrifice OT players.... I loafed on my community man... feels bad

I'd move onto Guacamelee before the other two. Such a fun game that you can also finish up in a reasonable amount of time.

Soul Sacrifice by its very nature would be the most time consuming of the three, so I'd save it for last.

If your a big enough DC fan, and FGs are your favorite genre its not that hard to see how it could be some peoples GOTY. Would make more sense then the Project Diva games ending up someones GOTY :P

There isn't much competition for fightning games goty in 2013 released so far.

im not talking about somebody on neogaf who proclaimed it as their own personal GOTY

but they are actually releasing a copy thats self-labeled as GOTY?

no way man

i have not seen one single reputable publication award injustice any such thing

Here's to hoping for GTAV vita port.

No one gave borderlands GOTY either, but it also recived a "GOTY" edition. As have a few other games. Im also not convinced this title is coming from WB directly and is not guess work since when they did this for MK they called it the"complete" edition, not GOTY.

So more people selected the Vita version than the PS3 version on the store? That's... really bizarre. No wonder all these indie developers are flocking to the Vita.

Not really, people will make the purchase on the platform they are going to play it on. Seems like many felt the Vita was the better platform in this case ;-)

(I agree, pixels were much too big on a TV)

Whats the best way to add all of the free PSN Vita games to my collection, even if I won't be downloading them all right now? Can I do it from my PC?

people complain in this thread about folders and other mostly meaningless things they need to "fix" on the vita...

when in the hell are they going to fix FRIENDS. you open the app and the thing will change order for a good 6 minutes at times until it becomes stable enough to click on anyone's name.

woah, $15 really?

This is kind of gross. I played the game on 360 as part of a retail 3-pack that came with 'splosion man, trials and limbo. It was about $8 for all three at the time, and even then I didn't think Limbo was worth it. Trials was pretty good, though.

I adore Injustice, so I'm really excited to hear that it might be coming to Vita.

Miku doesn't exist to me as long as DJMAX does.

Miku doesn't exist to me as long as DJMAX does.
And DJMAX doesn't exist to me as long as it has mandatory touch controls. I really tried to get into the Japanese PSN demo, but I just cannot figure out how to hold the Vita comfortably while playing it.

That PS Blog post on the FFX HD Limited Edition PS3 package only furthers my fear that the Vita version may be cancelled outside of Japan. There's not even a mention that the game is for Vita as well. People on the comments are complaining about the Vita version but the SE PR mouthpiece is not giving any replies.

It's a pre-order video. It looks like the Vita release will be PSN-only, so no pre-orders.
