Wait, I have a question. What’s to stop me from creating a bunch of new email addys with my ISP, sign up with freeiPods and eBay using them (with people I know names and addresses,) on my computer, and just doing everything myself. Would that work?

This will not work. Your IP will be the same on every account you sign up for.


For the tenth time people, there is no way to cheat this and get away with it. You will get caught.

what if you did each from a different PC location? Libraries, schools, work, etc,

Damn, I did the aol for the ipod the night this thread started and I have not gotten credit for it but I did get credit for the ebay one for the flatscreen. 3 of my refferals have passed too. Anyone else have their aol offer credited?

Or what if I did it from different computers in my house? Or does the IP addy have to match the street address? If so, that’s stupid (or, at least, flawed.) It’s not like it’s possible you could have a friends sing up for an account from your computer.

Do they track IP's? I ask because I was going to have my girlfriend sign up, complete an offer, and use her parents address instead of ours. Will that work?

I'm at the stage where I just need referrals...just waiting for my turn in line :)

I have some friends at work helping me with referrals too, so hopefully I won't need too many from here.

"I'll believe it when I see it" is still my attitude to all this :D

I've had nothing but great experiences with Gratis the company running these two new sites. Anything I've earned and ordered has arrived when they say it will. THey get the thumbs up from me.

Is freeipod.com acting weird for anyone else? I still have not been credit for aol and I was going to try the broadband one just to make sure but every offer I get a screen that says "Not Logged In". WTF?

It's supposed to take 1-3 business days. So if there's no confirmation by tomorrow, then we should start worrying. Besides, there are still people who have the links and haven't signed up (I only have 4 people for my flatscreen account, and only 2 of them have completed an offer).

Let me know if I have this right.

As it stands now, I am 4th on the list, so the worst case scenario is that 24 referrals will be given out BEFORE mine correct? (eight per person for the three people before me).

So is that right? Just curious...

I am still working out friends to lower my referral needs here.

I just made an account for the flatscreen one, gonna try to refer friends on this one...for the Ebay option, how do you know if the registration and bid went through? I registered an account using the link but there's no indication that I signed up under freeflatscreens.com. And does the Ebay account need to share the same name/address and email?

You cant do the ebay offer for ipod and then do it for flatscreen aparrently. I still have not recieved credit for the aol trial but I have for ebay. I am still getting "not logged in" or 'service unavailable when I try to do another offer in ipod. FOCK FoCK FOCK!!

Quick question- will someone show up on my status page if they registered under me but haven't completed an offer yet? My other one's underway and I convinced someone to sign up under me but he hasn't shown up in the list.

Someone is not doing there job cause I haven't gotten a link yet. Common looks like it would be easier doing this on my own, but that way someone would loose a referrel.

LOL, you must be VERY confused. You're at the bottom of the list, see? You won't be getting links for a long time, especially at the pace we're going. If you think it would be easier to do it on your own, please do. Let me know so I can remove you from the list.

And Mister Zimbu, if someone signed up for you, they should be on the list of referrals when you log in. If not, they didn't use your link or they just haven't signed up yet.

And as far as the status of this thing goes, nothing has changed since the last time I updated the first post in this thread. I am still waiting on four more people who have been given the links to sign up for the flat screen, and I'm waiting for confirmations on several people for both the ipod and flatscreen. :\

People need to understand that this takes A LONG TIME...many of us will wait weeks or more. But why people need to bitch about it is beyond me.

The point of this entire thread is to help eachother where we can, but it can't be rushed. I know it sucks waiting but what does it matter? If you never joined you'd be in the same position...as it stands, somewhere down the road you have a chance at a free IPod or Flatscreen.

So...

Accept that this will not happen fast

Accept that there will be times when it seems like nothing is happening.

Accept that many of us are willing to see this through even if we complete it.

Oh, and WHEN you get into the "signed up" part of this, do the rest of the people here a favor and get as many referrals as you can from friends/family that you know in person. I for one am working with 5-7 friends to reduce the number of referrals I need from the people here so that more of you get a chance.

Mason, thanks again...and don't let the whiners get to you :D

It shouldn't take the first person a WEEK to get 5 people to just sign up (let alone do the offers) when the list is 20+ strong.

Why does it take so long to get referel links? If someone signs up and sends 5 refeel links, then those 5 people send 5 referrel links each I would have a referrel link by now.
Do you have to wait until they get the darn thing before they can send the referrel links or what?

That's not how this system works.

For people who are interested in signing up in the future: PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE CONGA LINE IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS. Simply reading through this thread or doing a quick seach on Google would easily explain how a conga line works.

And the reason this is taking so long is: PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE LINKS HAVE STILL NOT SIGNED UP. I have all the iPod referrals I need, we're now waiting on all of them to be confirmed so we don't move down the list and then something goes wrong and one of them is denied and the list gets messed up. On the flat screen side, only four people have signed up. B'z-Chan, Hitman, Idle Will Kill, and DJ_Tet have been sent the links, but have not signed up. We're waiting on them, and also on the Killthee and Archaix's offers to be confirmed.

I think they are wondering why confirmed people can't continue with the list...

Like 1st person has all their referrals, some confirmed, some not...so should the confirmed people now be allowed to get referrals of their own? Like should everyone who says "Joined" be given referrals from people here? Mason could PM us and found out how many we need....

Pros

- List moves faster
- People are happier
- Looks like things are getting done so appeals to more people

Cons

- Fast list may = confusion
- People who who are lower on the list may get through faster than people above them (no big deal I would assume)
- People may lose referrals if people just bail, or forget, or have problems

Seems to me that if people use IRL friends/family to fill gaps in their referrals, then there wouldn't be a problem if some people from here don't follow through. I mean you aren't limited to only 8 referrals, you can have as many as you want...just only 8 count (for flatscreen anyway).

I dunno...either way works, but it would seem that the sooner we get people on these lists, the more people would get involved because people are getting results.

I'm going to give one more day for confirmations and people to sign up. I'll be gone all tomorrow, but when I log on Sunday morning, I'll see how things have progressed. We can decide how to continue from there.

Before I scan through the pages, can someone tell me whether or not this is real or just a pyramid scam?

I'm on page 5 and I see no signs of a scam yet....although I DO see a lot of confusion going on. :)
