So I'm dumb and had only been using Inaros' scarab swarm for armor this whole time... I thought it was a little hard to use sometimes because it depletes your health and if you are in a high level mission/sortie you can get one/two shot sometimes while you try to use devour or get some finishers in to replenish it...

During todays sortie 3 I figured out you can cast a portion of the swarm onto enemies... and it heals all allies... including you... So no need to do anything else but cast it at the first enemy you see... and bam, full health. If you charge it for armor immediately after that again to top your swarm off to 100% you have full armor AND full health because the swarm is still sapping the health from the guy you just plagued the nether regions of with your swarm and giving it to everyone...

Not only that, but the flipping swarm spreads to others nearby and holds enemies in place... and if you have rage equipped (as you should) you can basically spam it all around...

We where basically immortal. The Frost that was with us even stopped using his globes for the rest of the mission...

I believe it heals NPC's like rescue targets, the defense target escorts, and the kavor defectors as well. I

Yeah, it does. That's actually how I figured it out. I was going over all my frames abilities this morning and saw that it could heal and shortly after the match started I remembered it and I figured I'd try it on the defense operative since there is normally a Trin in the group but nobody picked her this time prob because of the frost.

Got a Vazarin lens. I understand the pain now. I will never complain about sculptures again.

It's kind of gross how stupidly powerful the Tigris Prime is. I was a crit shotgun believer with my Vaykor Hek until I used that thing. "Oh hello mister level 100 eximus bombard with elemental resistance, one barrel in the gut for you."

I've stopped doing extractors. The opportunity cost of doing those few clicks every 8 hours and trying to remember which planet drops what is not worth the payoff.

I hate this game. It's so fast to get into, paly a few missions and be happy. It's a backlog increaser... I have so many games to play still, but I just keep coming back to Warframe.

edit: So it's not worth getting into extractors? Don't they help with the grind/farm?

They keep giving me mats I will never manage use even if I crafted all items in the game. I have 200,000 spores or some shit and they give me more spores.

NO FUCK YOU EXTRACTORS

I've spent over 2 million on transmuting mods trying to get this darn Bite mod, only worth while mod I've got so far is Cyclone Kraken.

RNGesus, please.

Put Pilfering Swarm on Hydroid, along with a lot of efficiency. Mod one of your weapons to do as little damage as possible. Find kubrow dens on Earth. Shoot the den with your super weak weapon to make kubrows spawn. If you find an area with two dens close to each other, shoot the other one before the first one crumbles, as both will spawn kubrows if their spawned kubrows are dead. Kill kubrows with tentacles. Repeat. Boring, but effective.
New player here! Looking for a clan invite. Alias is MonsterSteve.
Got you on the list from the PS4 thread. Invites will be able to go out in a few hours I think.

I'll try it with Hydroid and a weak weapon, I've been doing it with Nekros and it's just so mind numbingly boring that I've just opted to transmute my mods.

So do I cast the tentacles and then start spawning the kubrows?

Spawn kubrows and immediately cast tentacles so they die as soon as they come out of the dens as you spawn more. It took me a while but this is how I got a Bite mod too. Pilfering Swarm Hydroid always gives two loot drop chances, as opposed to Nekros giving you a chance at a second loot drop, so it's a bit better.

I heard Bite drops from Earth Caches now too so I'll try grinding that on top of Kubrow dens.

This is going to take a long time to grind for.

Can I get an invite? In game name is zoink. I played ages ago and started again after the cheap plats. Obviously I have no clue what is going on in game now, it sure changed a lot.

GAF clan is now MOUNTAIN-SIZED! That means we have 300 total slots for clan members, up from 100. Everyone who wanted an invite should have gotten one. If not, please do post again. And if anyone else wants in, of course feel free to say so and leave your in game name.

Invited. Welcome back to Warframe! There are a lot of helpful people around, so if you have any questions, ask away.

Wait till you get three of them in a row

Indeed.

Then you will suffer like G I did.

Though honestly i'm biding time until RNGgod decides to be an ass again. :/

I do them through the app as it shows you the planets you've unlocked and the resources they have. Also it will send a notification when a drone is ready for collection.

Nice little time waster to assist with going through the work day.

I just started really playing this now although I created my account back in 2013.

Man this game is confusing for new players. I guess I'll keep doing "missions" as I unlock them in the map for now.

Finally got condition overload to drop last night with my Nek.

Now to figure out exactly how it works, how to build for it and what weapons work well. I have an Ohma I'm taking out of the oven and the Sydon that is shown on the mod itself. Time to experiment!

Excalibur chromatic blade mod works well with it.

What happens to the mastery you earn if you fail a Mastery Test and are waiting to try again? Is all the mastery you're earning just vanishing into the void or what?

It accumulates in the background I’m quite sure.

I recently started this. I have some problems. Mainly with controller, it works but it shows keyboard prompts, any way to change that? That sucks.

The other thing is camera movement, I don't know why exactly it feels wrong, it seems too quick or maybe erratic, kinda makes me sick. Beside those this game seems very good.

I got twitch prime loot, I'm not sure if that's any good.

Try messing with the look sensitivity, I turned it almost all the way down and it feels way better. I don't have any experience with controller in Warframe though, so I can't help with the prompts.

If you launch the game through Big Picture you'll get controller prompts. I know for sure this works with a 360 controller, but I haven't tried it with any others.

I have been very disappointed with controller support in this game. It sucks to set it up, but once you get it working it's actually very workable.

Make sure to use Steam Big Picture mode to launch the game, and use the built-in controller configuration tool with default configuration to start.

Turn down look sensitivity across the board, make sure auto-aim for controller is enabled. I use 30 sensitivity for everything, but that might be too fast for some people (my wife likes 5 to 10).

It will only display Xbox prompts - any Xbox controller works great (360 or One).

I am using a DS4 currently but I have my own Xbox One PC controller coming because the DS4 support really sucks.

So apparently during my long absence they changed the way mods work...either that or I very thoroughly forgot. I think you used to level them up by fusing them together, but now the only limiting factor is currency/endo? And you get endo by melting down the mods? That seems a lot more user-friendly unless I'm misunderstanding something.

I have many many dupes in my inventory so I suppose I should just blow a bunch of mod cards up and upgrade some of my stronger mods.

You're understanding correctly. It really is way easier, no more manually selecting 200+ mods in order to fully upgrade a serration mod is really nice. Plus Endo can drop from enemies and endgame stuff (the endgame daily can give you 4,000 Endo as a reward), all in all it's a much better system.

Hey man! I just wanted to thank you again for helping me out last night. I really appreciate it!

Great community within the GAF clan, don't be afraid of joining. 👍

Glad that I could be of help.

The Gaf community is definitely great I remember Noisy Ninj4 helping me when I started, farmed three warframe with him and he even gave me some mods that I still use till this day.
