Warframe |OT| Ninjas Play Free - PS4

Yes. Any time a teammate gets a kill, XP are distributed evenly among your equipped weapons. I can't tell you how many level 30 guns I've sold that never got a single kill.

Awesome!

Sometimes I complete a mission and there is an icon next to the credits with a number. What's that?

Played a few missions last night on the PS4. Seemed pretty fun, although it seemed like most of us didn't know what was going on. Is that the basic premise? Shoot things, hack things, etc? Does the mission structure change up at all?

It's always shoot/slice dudes, but there are mission objectives that change depending on the mission node. They're listed when you select a mission (exterminate, capture, survival, defend, assassinate, etc).

So i was thinking about jumping on one of the platinum deals, but i was just wondering which patch prime access hit the PC version (wiki didn't mention it). If i'm dropping $40 i thought maybe waiting for the prime access to hit and doing the lower tier might be worth the wait? Essentially paying $10 for a bit more platinum & prime version of the glaive & sicarus. I feel like that much platinum would last me ages, and the feel the game is worth it for the ours i've had, and will have.

EDIT: my Ignis will be done tonight too, yay.

Electric boogaloo: Ignis has a punch through effect on the explosions it causes? daaaamn. unf.

Okay I have two Orokin reactors available, and I think they're going to go to Trinity and Nova ( Out of Loki, Ember, Rhino, Nova, and Valkyr).

Loki was my starting frame, Trinity and Valkyr were finished building in the foundry. Rhino, Nova, and Ember are all still cooking at the moment.

Everything about Trinity seems to click for me, and her healing ability seems invaluable in certain nightmare missions.

Nova for my second reactor is just my guess based on some of the forum reactions and seeing them in game.

I picked up a lot of power related mods recently, and Trinity is starting to really shine now. I think I"m just missing a duration power mod and I think I can then start working out how to piece it all together.

What should I do once I level my main character (Mag) up to level 30? I've already leveled up the MK1 Braton to 30.

I also have about 400 platinum which I managed to get for £5 (I don't like paying but I figured it was a good deal). What should I spend it on, if anything?

Get other warframes. Also get other weapons... you can buy off the market for 25k credits the Braton which is a direct upgrade to your MK1.

Platinum should be reserved for Orokin Reactors and Orokin Catalysts. Cosmetics as well if you fancy them.

Orokin reactors and catalysts for all your frames and your favorite weapons. Slots for more frames and weapons. Maybe treat yourself to a color pack.

My Braton is almost maxed. Should I go back to the weaker nor? Or where should I go for a new main?

I went from braton to burston and I liked it. Got it to 30, formed it, and got it back to 30 again and its pretty beast. Use mods that increase the speed and rate of fire in particular. I'm saving up cells to make a braton prime tho, I miss the auto fire for those intense low frame rate moments.

Just keep trying weapons. Game's not an RPG in the sense that there's a linear progression in weaponry. Sure there are better weapons, but it's also about tradeoffs and playstyle.

The burston, the latron and the boltor are all solid choices. The latron is a single shot semi, works if you like to aim and get headshots, the boltor is a full on spray'n pray auto and the burston is somewhere in between.

Don't forget your secondary and melee weapon neither. Still running with Lato and Skana? Fix that!

Remember that's just when grouping though. If you're playing solo you will only get XP for what you use. It works like this:

Enemy killed by one of your weapons?
- 50% XP to the specific weapon
- 50% XP to your Warframe

Enemy killed by one of your Warframe abilities?
- 100% XP to your Warframe

Enemy killed by a different group member?
- 25% XP to your primary weapon
- 25% XP to your secondary weapon
- 25% XP to your melee weapon
- 25% XP to your Warframe

There's a range for group XP. You can't be on the other end of the map and still get it. Best to stick together if XP is a concern. Oh, and the game doesn't redistribute if you're using maxed out weapon. If your Braton is level 30 and you get a rifle kill then your Warframe will still only get 50% XP.

The "kill" is determined by the literal kill shot that brings the enemy's health to zero. If you do 99% of the damage to an enemy and a group member finishes it off then it'll count as a group member kill.

Bonus XP is only awarded at the end of missions for items that received XP during the mission itself.

That's normal, no one ever knows what's going on at first. You never will, either, unless someone explains stuff to you or you look up information on the Wiki. The game does an absolutely terrible job of explaining even the gameplay systems and mechanics, even the critical ones.

No, not really. There are a few other mission types introduced a bit passed the beginning, but even those operate the same way. The most complex it gets is that on defense missions Snow-globe is over-powered and escort missions can get a bit annoying if you don't pay attention.

Otherwise, nope. Everything remains the same.

What should we be using forma for? it changes or adds a polarity slot for gear but Im wondering whats the rationale behind which polarities are best for which gear?

I should buy the blueprints to said weapons and warframes, as opposed to spending platinum on them, correct?

Correct. From what I have gathered Platinum should be used as an enhancement to your Warframe and weapons, don't use it to obtain them. They way I have been approaching Platinum is that I see it as something that I got for supporting the developer, so I use it to enhance my game, not drive it.

Color packs are a good idea to use it on if you like to customize your frame, and reactors are worthwhile for frames and weapons that you really like. I used some of my Platinum on a reactor for my Mag starting frame, and it was a game changer for me. Having double the power points to spend was a huge deal.

Is the titan extractor worth it? It says in the wiki I have to collect it after 6 hours or it's health could drop to zero and I'd lose it.

Is it worth the risk? It a pretty expensive.

this is just pure BS. Started a level on to find out Im completely locked in the room. I can't get out of it despite the fact the door has green lights over it.

First it was spawning in some bottomless pit and now this...
:/

Just throwing it out there, but I kind of wish there was a hybrid control scheme where you can select your power by swiping gestures on the touchpad, but fire it using L1.

I tried the alternate scheme which allows firing on L1, but couldn't get use to cycling through powers using the d-pad.

I just discovered @WFAlertsPS4 on twitter. Quite handy. I was bummed to learn that their app only supports PC at the moment. Also apparently you can use the PS app in second screen mode to get alerts. Just and FYI for those that may have missed this like I did.

had no idea, awesome.

EDIT : eww, bit glitchy on the Vita though. every second it refreshes it has a bit of a visual glitch.

A few starter weapons you can buy them with credits (the currency you get in-game), like the Braton or the Sicarus for example.

Might wanna go for those before you start with the blueprints.

I'm really enjoying the supra. But the bullet travel time is so slow it feels like I can just outrun it and use melee. It certainly looks cool though. It's definitely something I'd use for fun, as my soma would still pick up the harder missions.

I would only forma a weapon if the build I need for it requires more than 60 points. As for choosing which polarity, I'd pick the mod with the highest required mod points and use forma for that.

Where do you get the component blueprints for Nyx?

I think Eris boss.

Its so costly and seems like it needs quite a bit of work to really make it excellent, i'm way off mastery 7 anyway. i'm sure i'll build one when i get there haha.

i'd love a mod for projectile travel speed, but that may be a bit broken.

Is the only place to get control modules in Neptune? That's very far from the starting areas (Rhino)

I cheated and bought one (with my starter money, they are relatively cheap). You can get them fairly easily in the T1 (tower keys) missions too.

So you basically finished all the planets before getting your second warframe?

Yeah the planet route will make that the outcome.

Check your void keys if you have any (they come from long lasting missions like Survival, and Defense or alerts) they usually have the key items needed to make a warframe that are only found in the later planets. Specific warframes themselves can be gotten by running certain bosses multiple times til you get all the parts, anywhere 3+ runs for a full warframe kit.

Oh god no, and I still havent by quite a bit.

When I first started I set my course on Neptune to get some control modules for my second warframe (Volt) and after more than a week I got there but the missions were rough. It was also a mix of luck since there are so many defense and survival oriented missions and I was still new.

Europa is just off of Jupiter, is easier, and seemed to have fewer defense missions blocking my path, which is why I recommend it. I ultimately got my control modules from Neptune, but a lot of luck was involved (finding online parties just finishing up those defense missions I needed to proceed).

Oh that's way closer! Thanks! Any spot in particular?
I'd just hang out there a bit and do the missions you can - and check containers and drops. You'll get one at some point. Thats what I did on Neptune - just did a handful of missions until I got em. Luckily you can also get a few of them at a time. Bosses are always your best bet for rarer drops on a planet, but they're not the only way to get them.

Orokin void and derelict are the easiest ways. Just use a Tower I key extermination or survival and check any storage/containers you see around.
Been playing this for a while now and I have yet to do a derelict mission nor do I even grock the concept yet. How do you get derelict missions? I've done a few Tier 1 Orokin towers but not many.

Tier 1 Orokin Tower missions are possible for control modules, but how do you get those keys if you're avoiding survival and defense missions (as a new player)? And even people should know that you can only play those with people you specifically invite - there is no matchmaking.

Edit: maybe this star chart doesn't work like I think it does. Europa is just off Jupiter? According to this pic it's not even close.

Yeah, things look very different once you drill a level deeper into the system map.

Just booted the game up to double check.

Europa: Mercury -> Venus -> Earth -> Jupiter ->Europa (first mission is 15-17th level)
Neptune: Mercury -> Venus -> Earth -> Saturn -> Uranus -> Neptune (first mission is 20-23rd level)

Uhm, looking at the star chart on my screen right now and Europa seems the furthest from the sun, Neptune is about 3 rings closer to the sun.

This is why the map sucks! I also never start in the planet sector I select.

Yeah, its still bugged.

You *can* select a planet from the zoomed out view and drill into it but ONLY if you've completed each mission for that planet. Otherwise it bounces you to Mercury. Its weird, but thats how it seems to work right now.

Don't know how the map navigation bugs have survived the latest update. Crazy.

I've found that selecting a fully explored planet will actually bring you to it's section of the map so I always choose the nearest completed planet to the one I actually wanna play on and move from there.

Best place to get Control Modules: any Void mission, especially those where you kill tons of enemies like survival or defense.

Last I looked, I had upwards of 300 Control Modules as a side effect of farming for Primes.

Damn, I wish I'd worked this out earlier. This is going to be much easier.

Yeah, I've been spending some time on the first defense mission in Europa trying to get a rare mod and I've seen tons of excaliburs.

Guess it's a popular spot to get those pesky control modules hehe.
