I was wondering what the point of the Greenskin CE bonus item was. But one random click later it looks like that spears are one-hand items and my SH still can wear something in my left hand. And since I always use my bow I now carry a dwarven head on my back into battle. :lol

Hit level 15, and am really starting to hit my stride, leveling frequently, doing really good in the RvR (Almost always top 10, usually top 5) and PQing it up like crazy. The low frequency of anything but green bags is getting me down, but other than that so far it's going great. Made a few friends through all the PQing and getting geared out! Got turned into a chicken for the first time too when I went back to Tier 1 to level my Apothecary skill... finally realize what all those fast ass bunnies running around I see from time to time were.

Greatsword is a very fun class, after playing shit loads of melee chars in beta and live the combat on this one just flows. Could be the animations also, they're really nice.

I'd still drop it to play a reiksguard/knight of the BS any day though.

Rolled my first dwarf tonight, a runepriest. On one hand, their scenario is popping almost as soon as you get in the queue it starts. On the other hand, it's such an annoying battlefield to me, exacerbted by the demographics where there's basically tanks, ranged and healers up against ranged/healer/tanks + squigs Still a fun class, more effective healer thus far than my archmage, I like that there are more immediate heals.

Roots breaks correctly now. It was BW's that had the impossible to break root. Everyone was talking about it on WH alliance for a few days last week. Everyone confirmed the BW one was broken and the others were broken too but still broke but not as often.


My Squig Herder hit 21... I destroy squishies in RvR.. its pretty awesome.. But I'm about to hit Tier 3 RvR and I'm sure the first few lvls will suck hard.

I kick in my Tier 2 morale ability and 1 second plinks.. and I'm critting Rune Priests / Bright Wizards / Witch Hunters / Engineers / Shadow Warriors for about 600-800 dmg and can get 3 shots in 7 seconds.

Its awesome.

Horned Squig got a knock back too now too.. cant wait to see him knock people off randomly now

My damaging/HEALING (yes that is intentional) hybrid called the Archmage is kind of falling flat on his face in tier 2, and it doesn't seem like it's going to improve in tier 3. I'm thinking of rolling an Engineer alongside him, just for the kick of it. I realise the Engineer is not a damaging powerhouse in itself, but the CC they supposedly get at later levels kicks ass.

Any Engi's here? And if there are, how do you like them so far?

Well if the Engineer is anything like the Magus than I will say he is a fun class to play, but you will be pretty useless for a long time.

The first non-drop helm is level 15. There are several quests I think, just hit up wardb.com for it.
Or you wait till level 16 and just get the helm from the renown gear merchant.
But both are statsless of course.

I might pick it up after work. How does the whole Faction vs. Faction thing work? I can't find anything that says it. If I chose a faction, am I in the same world as everyone else, or am I only playing with the opposing faction? Can someone clarify this?

Thats awesome. The dwarf CE bonus item is a large ring with orc teeth and goblin ears on it that can be held in the left hand.

Hm, BW's are all over in T3 scenarios on Averheim. You probably dont notice them as much because you aren't getting dotted and then dying to them 5 seconds later. :lol I dont really feel any class is too OP in the game, but BW's are by far the class feared most by destro in T3.

I generally don't find roots to be that annoying, what I do find annoying is knockback in tor anroc. Order definitely has an advantage there because of the class composition that usually shows up on that map. Destro usually has an abundance of dark elves there, which have no knockback at that point. On the other hand, High Elves have several methods of knockback at that point.

I'm loving it. I played to like 45 in WoW when it came out but got pretty bored and didn't want to have to schedule bricks of time to accomplish something in the game. With the focus on PvP and RvR and public quests you can literally boot up the game for 20 minutes and do something meaningful.

The built in quest tracker is also awesome, except that I don't think I've read any of the accompanying story lines,so despite being level 14, I still have no clue what is going on story wise.

Yeah you're in the same world as everyone else on that server. If you choose Order, you'll obviously start in the Order lands and move on into the contested lands ... just as WoW kinda did.

And for some reason, the PvP in this game is 400x more fun than WoW. My order guild on Wolfenheim is the top guild on the server .... and we only have 50 members. Rank 12 and rolling people left and right in scenarios.

Queue up with the button near your minimap for a scenario (BG) and bam, you're in. You get your stats leveled to level 8 (not your skills though) so you can compete and be useful.

T1 Scenario's there are 3 ... they last from levels 1-11.
T2 also 3 .... levels 11-22
T3 has 6 .... 21-32

And I don't know from there on out But it's fun. There are different types of BG's.

From lvl 1 you can pvp.

You'll automatically be leveled up to 8, unfortunately you aren't given any skills. So it's kinda boring. I'd say wait till like lvl 5 (really quick) until you jump into PvP or you'll just be useless and most likely boring on your part.

Eh, I jump in the queues as soon as I can at level 1, just to try and keep my renoun rank and rank as close as possible. But yeah, RvRing at level 1 blows, especially as a rune priest!:lol

How you finding it?

I'm getting my butt kicked more then I'd like... but I can be quite effective with good healing behind me. Any good tips on PVPing with one?

I get the feeling that, if I play to my role, I should excel (i.e. playing as a tank)... but the reality is, I don't think many others know how to play their role (i.e. healing me!), so it kinda all falls apart.

You have to fly to the other lands. It's the only reason I'm thinking of flying to Elven lands with my dwarf. I hate the Dwarf scenario, but love Khaine's embrace.

You can visit those cities whenever you want even if you arent of that race.. that technically is your city for now.

They will add the other cities in future free patches (Free according to 1up interviews with Marc Jacobs)

Anoter minor balance gripe just looking at the manual, comes from Elves vs. Dark Elves. Elves don't have a tank class, while Dark Elves have all 4 classes.

Dark elves don't have a tank class. Elves have swordmaster which is a tank.

It's the opposite. All races are going to have 4 classes supposedly, just patched in later.
