The GAF guild is alive and kicking. It's on a healthy server. Even if it doesn't last forever at least we'll all have our mains on the same server since we all started from day 1 on the same server together.
And it was a lot of fun in scenarios today grouping up with other gaffers.

By the way: where the hell do I get things for talisman making? I have the curios, the gold essences, the magic essences, the containers, but not the last thing which I naturally suddenly have a brain fart on and can't remember what they're called goddamnit.

I'm a Squig Herder and consistently finish 1st-3rd and I have one of the lowest dps classes in the game.

Thinking of picking up the game myself to give it a run. Didn't do much PvP in WoW but the world looks great and I think I could get used to it if its in a context where everyone on your side does PvP instead of trying to round people up.
On a side note: Anyone know if the GeForce 6800 GO card is supported? I play WoW and LOTRO just fine on my laptop. Figure if need be I can just lower the settings.

I had short wait getting into Averheim last night around 9:30pm, 2 minute queue time.
The servers don't open to the public until the 18th at 12:01AM.

Pre ordered through Gamestop.
Never got the "early-play" code but I just had the game delivered to my door a day early.
Surprising and torturous at the same time. I don't know if it's worth it to call Gamestop and hassle them for my pre order code so I can play tonight.

It means everything when the rest of your team is a bunch of idiots and they're all on offense 100% of the time. Meanwhile I'm sitting all by my lonesome defending points not even in combat about a quarter of the time. And I still get almost double the next highest damage dealer on my time. Not to mention I have the most kills and I only died once. Again, I stress on defense.TurtleSnatcher said:

I like scavenging. But that's because it's so easy and there is a huge abundance of humanoid enemies. Mo' money, mo' money, mo' money.
I agree that the crafting professions are ass. Thankfully, I don't really care about professions in any MMO, and the PvP more than makes up for it for me.

I've played enough MMO PvP to know whether someone is an incompetent fool. Or at least acting the part. I don't pretend to be good at PvP, but at least I'm competent. ):
Another crafting question: So, I get curios from scavenging -- I know this because I have a fuckton from doing my own scavenging. Son of Godzila says you get fragments from salvaging. Where does one get gold/magic essences? D: There's store-bought stuff but I'm assuming that's not too hot later in the game.

Anyway, this is my very first MMO experience...ever...
But I was quite a big Warhammer fan back in the day, and I guess I should try it out, right?
Anyway, I guess I'm going Elves - probably a Shadow Warrior, as I remember being a big fan of these guys a few years ago.
Looking forward to playing with you guys.
