Watch_Dogs |OT| PS4 would probably melt trying to do this

I'm torn on what platform to choose. I'm leaning towards PS4, because a lot of people I know are getting the PS4 version and I prefer to play long open world games in front of my tv with a controller, but I'm guessing it would look better on my PC (i5-3570k @3.4gHz, GTX760 2GB, 8GB RAM). I don't think it would look THAT much better though, since my CPU isn't exactly up to snuff. Short of resolution, I doubt I'd actually see much of a difference between the two. Hmm, descisions, descisions.

The licensed tracks I've heard so far are terrible. Hope there's an option to completely disable them.
True. When I was watching a stream and the player was in a chase with the cops, Vampire Weekend came on and made for a cringe-worthy moment.

And that black coat, is it part of the digital deluxe or something ? Or can you buy it ingame ?

I bought the black coat in game. It cost me a lot and because of that trench many people in Chicago will not get to the end of the month :D
So to those that have the game can I buy hats separately? Or can I at least buy suits with different hats? As of right now the black trench coat looks like the best option.
I don't think so but i'm not entirely sure, looks like every set of suit have its own hat.

Just so you know. It is confirmed that they removed tessellation and or parallax mapping. Which makes a substantial difference.

I see what you mean by the flat ground material in the second shot.

What you have neglected to point out is how everything else looks better in the second shot. The wall textures, the texture of the water pipe, the sign, the building is an actual building you can walk into instead of mirrored windows, the ATM is sharper, the awning has a design on it now....

EDIT:

Oops, my mistake, the windows weren't mirrored in the first shot. The interior is just extremely under-textured.

worst thing in these PS4 screens is poor anisotropic filtering.
I noticed that on PC it's not x16 by default either,I may be wrong though it's sometimes hard for me to tell from screenshots.

I would liek to first beg them to bring teselation, the more pronounced dynamic DOF, add options to have it on all the time or only during slowmo (bokeh?), and parallax mapping back in with a patch.

If not, I beg the modding community to get to work. Where's MaLDo? Maybe he can hack his way into this game and bring tesselation to everything or parallax map all the floors and walls that could use it, and bring back dat DOF. He did it with Crysis 2...

PS. Why'd the unemployed war vet go from white man to black man? WTF UBISOFT. WOW.

Looks more like an issue with the crappy image quality.
 
Looks like my roommate got it to work on his PC.

I resent Ubi and I've voiced my concerns with this game but I'm going to try it with an open mind and if I like it I'll pick it up on Tuesday.

The lighting looks downgraded as well, what a big difference.
 
It puzzles me how people don't notice such things.

Not even "PC Master Race" would be able to accurately model every reflective surface showing a perfect reflection of every light, image, and shadow from any distance and angle.

The blue glow in that puddle is enough for me. It doesn't look "shitty", it doesn't look "terrible". I think it looks good. Others think it looks good. You think it looks terrible? I'm sorry you're not able to enjoy it.

I wish it was possible to interact with people more in this game. It's cool seeing the character descriptions to give the world and the people more personality, but it would be amazing if you could actually do things with that. Like strike up conversations with people that would be dynamic based on the character profile. Or give them money or threaten them or something. Give the player ways to help or hurt these people based on what their profile is. Well, maybe they'll do more with it in Watch Dogs 2.

You kinda can in the game. Yesterday the debs were streaming the game. They were able to distract a guard who wanted to be an adult film star by pretending to be a porn producer.

Second shot is also missing depth of field. PS4 version looks like it needs AA, too.

Is this mission shown in the 2012 reveal in the game, or was that just for the demoed reveal?

I'd also like to know this and see just how different it is. Quite a few things are different general gameplay wise there anyway. For example in that demo basic hacking of the traffic lights was on the wheel instead of just a press of the square button. It doesn't look like rescuing people trapped in their cars during a firefight is in the full game either?
