Watch_Dogs |OT| PS4 would probably melt trying to do this

Has anyone tried the ctos companion app yet on their android/apple device?

I can't seem to connect but it looks pretty sick.
Yeah it's not working well at the moment. I often doesn't log me in automatically, I have to sign into PSN manually every time, and it takes forever to find a match. I've only found one, and the guy left towards the end of it. Can't find any other matches.

Think I should start a new game? Or contact Ubi?

I'd try starting a new game just to see if it works (unless starting a new game overwrites your old career progress, as is the case with some games). I'd recommend maybe checking Ubisoft's forums or the Watch_Dogs reddit on the issue if it persists.

I'm definitely noticing the 900p on PS4, although it at least looks nice and smooth. The driving hasn't bugged me much, it's at least better than Saints Row 3 (which has the worst driving of all time). I really like the engine noise variety - funnily enough that's the biggest thing I've noticed about the driving.

The story is absolute trash, but I'm digging the hybrid stealth/shooter gameplay. I really wonder how many notes from the original Splinter Cell: Conviction ended up on Watch Dogs developers' desks.

That's how I feel about it. No honey moon period or fanboy glasses. It has many flaws but it's the most fun I've ever had in a sandbox game. Even if Volition had made the real Saints Row 3, I'd still like Watch Dogs better. These controls are good enough to be in a linear stealth/shooter game. There's a bunch of side missions and surprisingly I don't find them rote as hell like other Ubisoft sandbox side crap. Plus, I haven't even turned multiplayer on yet. All Ubisoft has to do is flesh out the hacking more in the next game and that' shit'll be ace.

It hasn't even been out for a day.

So far, liking the game, except the criminal prevention missions. Common thugs all have sniper vision and even using a camera, they see me. Stay a block away and use camera, can't respond fast enough to catch them. Wtf

Loving the game so far, but the driving...good LORD, the driving. Anything faster than a slow roll and the vehicle is almost completely out of control. lol Thankfully, at least so far, driving missions are relatively few.

Which platform? On PS4 one of the notifications in the download area says Season Pass. There's also a few other downloads associated with it. Also on PS4 you can go into the game's menu on your main UI bar and look at all the add-ons that are associated with the game. If you own it on Xbox One, you can go into Games and Apps and hit the menu button on the Game and it will show you all the extras you have as well.

But how do you access that in game?

Just had my first crash. It was searching for a ctOS match and crashed back to xmb. Is sending a video with the crash report new? I don't think I've had a game crash like that in me before so I've never seen it.

Edit: PS4

I hope they'll patch this to make it easier...

This game is so impressive.NPCs animations, variety and models, lighting, texture work, foliage.Everything about it is so nicely done.
Really nice atmospheric and "living" city. It's a great pleasure to just walk slowly on the streets :)
I am really enjoying it.

It's all in game items. Once the pass is redeemed, nothing is downloaded, just unlocked.

If you don't see the items in game once you get to your hideout, contact Ubi/wherever you bought it from.

Did you purchase the season pass as well because I made it past the hideout and the drawer is still empty although I did download Conspiracy, South Club Chicago from the PSN store

My BIGGEST disappointment with Watch_Dogs is that there is no Twista, Do or Die, Common, Speedknot Mobstas, Crucial Conflict, Lupe Fiasco or Psychodrama.

How can you have a GTA style GAME, set in CHICAGO, and have RAP on the radio but not include ANY of these artist. Shame on Ubisoft.

Oh good, experience points and skill trees.

Man. Am I the only one tired of this?

I've been on an unintentional blackout for this practically since the 2012 announcement, and thought I'd go in blind.

I wish games would find more novel ways to introduce new skills.

It's the worst goddamn driving. Which sucks because high speed chases are some of the best parts of these games.

Some of the stuff unlocks when you beat the quests that were included as part of the season pass. Other stuff is available in your wardrobe at your safe house or you can buy them at the clothing store.

I have the season pass. . I can't even find the starting point for the quests. Is at after part 1?

The few original tracks that I've heard in this game (since the licensed music overall sucks in my opinion) sounds like a cool blend of Tangerine Dream meets Mass Effect.

This is the biggest thing that people should be mad at Ubisoft for, downgrade be damned.

Surprised there was no Kanye either. Some Late Registration or College Dropout would've fit perfectly.

Sorry if this has been answered, did a quick search and couldn't find any posts (although I'm sure it will have been commented on in the past 96 pages, so I probably just used the wrong words):

Is there any truth to that rumour from the early "review" that your stats get reset or something if you choose to play single player? It sounds so far fetched and stupid as a decision that I doubt it, but just checking before I open the packaging and start playing.

Got any ideas?

Anybody else feel bad when stealing cars from certain people? I stole a car from a widowed guy and felt terrible. Got out and left it there for him.

the song Homecoming would have been perfect.

Ubi don't have that Ye money though.

If you turn off multiplayer, you lose your relatively useless multiplayer skills, gained through Notoriety, which is separate from your single player stats.

I just tailed a guy and at about 75% I used a blackout. He was about 20 feet from me, never profiled me, and then when I used the blakout he just lost his mind and drove away while slamming into every car in the road. Soooo good.

So? I'm not singing about it like it had no problems or is the game of the century or some shit. It just finally gave me what I wanted at a base level, a sandbox game with a nice city that doesn't control like hippo bunk. The hacking stuff is nice too.

I was planning on stealing the ATM info from a guy.... turned out he was going through Chemo. Couldn't/Wouldn't do it.

The licensed soundtrack is garbage. I just keep it turned off entirely.

It's pretty bad alright, and there not much of it either. I haven't played too much of the story yet, but I'm not a big fan of the OST either, or the way they use it. I can't tell if the game's bugged when some of the more action oriented tracks kick in when I just pull out my gun while roaming, without aiming it anyone, or if that's how they decided to use the music.

All of it just makes me appreciate Rockstar's efforts in the sound department even more. Ambience in GTA V still remains second to none.

I saw this black dude. He was alright, said he was an avid video game player...then I noticed he was wanted for child pornography. Shot that son of a bitch right there point blank in the head.

One hour in and I gotta say I'm loving this so far. I've only done one campaign mission and I've just been wandering around hacking people. I feel like this game will have tons of replayability because of all the different scenarios that can come from hacking those around you.

Ah I see, thanks, that's not too bad then. For some reason I was under the impression single player skills would somehow be affected, glad to hear that's not the case. Time to start playing it then!

Even after all of the reviews today I'm still incredibly undecided. What's the general GAF consensus so far?

And I'm just finishing up AC4...fearful of jumping into another game that's very similar in style right away.
