Wouldn't it just be the perfect game for the touch screen?  The top screen can just be a map, or animation or simply off (contrary to some around here, I don't think it's necessary to fully utilise EVERY feature of the DS ALL of the time).  A simple control screen of dragging your 'copter around, avoiding the sides.  It's the kind of game that really eliminates the whole user + interface barrier - it's much more accessible this way, and obvious what needs to be done!  Simple control, simple game.
I kind of miss simple games that you can spend hours on. This is wahy I hope the DS is full of (cheap) games that are simple and fun. Leave most of the huge production value games (the odd one is ok) to the consoles.
Another perfect example is that game that came out in Japan for N64, the one with the electrified ring you had to manoeuvre around a course without touching the centre wire. YOu know, stuff like that is what the touch screen would excell at - no other current control system would be better (not even a mouse for these types of games).
