We need KuruKuruKururin for DS.

Wouldn't it just be the perfect game for the touch screen? The top screen can just be a map, or animation or simply off (contrary to some around here, I don't think it's necessary to fully utilise EVERY feature of the DS ALL of the time). A simple control screen of dragging your 'copter around, avoiding the sides. It's the kind of game that really eliminates the whole user + interface barrier - it's much more accessible this way, and obvious what needs to be done! Simple control, simple game.

I kind of miss simple games that you can spend hours on. This is wahy I hope the DS is full of (cheap) games that are simple and fun. Leave most of the huge production value games (the odd one is ok) to the consoles.

Another perfect example is that game that came out in Japan for N64, the one with the electrified ring you had to manoeuvre around a course without touching the centre wire. YOu know, stuff like that is what the touch screen would excell at - no other current control system would be better (not even a mouse for these types of games).

That's exactly what I want for DS too ! Could be very fun, Kuru Kuru Kururin was one of my favorite serie on GBA. Hope it will come out one day.

I just imported the euro original GBA release. Why didn't NOA ever release it? It could have had a Tetris phenomenon if marketed right (though they might have had to change the name).

It's a fun game, but it needed some more modes for lengevity (I loved the challenge mode). You know, games like Tetris and other puzzlers, you play FOREVER. There is no end. But KKK (Yes, MegaByte, the name needs to be changed! Kururin may have been fine) has definite end. I'd like these kinds of games to be designed with hi-score modes or something. Time challenges are never often enough for me to want to replay.

The multiplayer was also excellent - a full multiplayer on single cart! I loved the multiplayer - I played with rules that if you lost a match, for the next, you could choose to either shorten your own copter, or lengthen the winner'. Kind of like a built-in handicap that would eventually fins some sort of equilibrium with itself - more games should have modes like this programmed in. We also tried super-races where there was no blades, simply a dot, and seeing who could race around the screen fastest. They could expand and have your copters actually hit each other and rebound, or change rotation or something. Level editors and the like.

More such games!

I'm just in a mood for more simple handheld games after digging through my old GB collection and playing classics like KLAX and stuff. Anyone ever play Alpha Snake? I want more Sokoban puzzlers, and this old multiplayer game I had on the Apple II called FLiptop, or something (it had a series of balances, or scales, that different colours, and each player took turns dropping their coloured balls onto them...the one who could completely remove the opponents balls from the scales won).

How about games like Archon, or Spy vs. Spy? They seem like games that perhaps won't need the touch screen, but would benefit from dual screen. Even an update of Spy vs. Spy.

Kururin "Squash" (su-ka-sshu) for GC, you mean.

Yeah, I really want to see more Kururin games, but I'm getting worried because Squash totally flopped, which I don't understand at all. Some of the in-game graphics aren't the best, but other than that, I love the diorama graphic feel in the cutscenes etc., and the game totally rocks. The battle mode is hilarious and addicting.

Who knows what the future holds for Eighting. I hope they keep making these, though.

I love that the DS will get a lot of franchises we already know, but I want mostly new stuff really. The system is there to build a million new ideas upon. It's still brand new to everyone. Make something brand new to go along with it instead!

Well, it's at least partially because 90% of the supposed Kururin fans on this very forum didn't even buy it. What gives??
