I don't understand how turning on your PS3 with the PSP is helpful.

So far, I am not liking this portable- home console connectivity thing from both Sony and nintendo. IMO the only thing that it might be good for is downloading demos
Not having to leave it on all the time.

Play PS3 games?

Wake on LAN would be a megaton for me. I use Remote Play all the time.

You need to do some research into Remote Play. It's a very very cool feature. I use it almost daily.

Next thing he'll fire up the million seller Motorstorm and BAM he'll bring up the XMB and go send messages to his friend! What else is on the "wanted 2.0 features" list?

You're aware that you can play PS3 games on the PSP anywhere on the world right?
Now you can do the same without leaving your PS3 on all the time.

Technically he turned the PS3 off remotely. I would assume that you would be able to turn it on as well. Unless sony is just updating the functionality REEEAALLLy slowly with firmware updates.

Being able to turn on the PS3 remotely with the PSP. This allows you to do Remote Play and browse the PS3 with your PSP without having your PS3 constantly on

He's also pointed out how you can transfer progress in a PS3 game to the PSP to continue playing it on the road - similar to the way OutRun 2006 PS2 and PSP interacted.

Kaz has disappeared into the corner, probably to have a drink and read our Live Text. Hi Kaz. The Remote Play demo is being done on PSP Slim - looks like the silver one.

Taking us all the way back to launch with another graph. It's between 5 and 6 million units worldwide as of end of August, judging by that. Toward the 5m end.
