I guess if it happens it must happen when the three centers of Nintendo are alligned :lol (I mean open). NCL, NOA and NOE.

I like how the main reason people think stuff is going to happen today is that it falls on the 5 years anniversary of spaceworld 2000.

There's one main reason why people thought there'd be something today. That reason is that this date is the anniversary of the GBA and GC unveiling at spaceworld 2000. Which is a really stupid reason to think that anything will be unveiled today, as that was fucking SPACEWORLD. There's a reason why GBA and GC were announced on that date. And it's not because Nintendo likes announcing stuff on the 24th.

The second reason why people are going apeshit is because of an elementary-level interpretation of Matt's comments about when we'd find out new information about revolution. He said it would be very soon, and that it could be in a day or in a week (relative to the date of the Gamer's Conference), and people have twisted Matt's whole damn statement to mean "It will be either tomorrow or exactly one week from today."

And then people blame NINTENDO for shit like this and thursdayton. :lol

This is like the 3rd thread like that that I can remember off the top of my head for the last year. It's really funny too because we all know what's going to happen. A rumor is gonna get started, someone is going to start a thread, NIntendo fans will flock in, the owns will come back, and then there will be one of two results: a. no news b. amazingly dissapointing news....


Seems to me this is going to happen until Revolutions release. After that if Nintendo doesn't become #1 in world sales it will continue when NIntendo's next system is nearing release....


Sad really but I don't see it ending...ever....

Nintendo's not gonna be #1 in teh console space again. Nintendo will always deliver games that we will have interest in eitehr out of nostalgia or the fact that NIntendo IS a top tier software developer and some of their games are very good....

So...yup...probably to be continued indefinitely...

They still might release some information tomorrow, for tradition's sake. And Matt did "get the impression" that the news would be within a week fo the end of the GC, so WedNESdayton does have a reasonable chance of occurring.

I just think it's stupid that there's a 900 post thread dedicated to speculation based off of a misinterpreted Matt quote and an anniversary of spaceworld.

90% of the posts in this thread are of people mucking around and just having fun, not all speculation. If you cant see that then you havn't read it very well.

most people just skip to the end of big threads and post... many don't even read the first post of the thread...just the title... which on GAF...is almost always misleading or wrong! :)

So, does anyone have a picture of the owl from Super Mario 64? IIRC, it looked pretty similar to it's OOT brother, but as I've learned yesterday, there are thousands of little differences between owls. :)
BTW, I think there's no better way to make one's 500th post than by spreading the owl love (and I mean this in the non-furriest way possible).
 
With the REDS thread, I'm officially not going to be disappointed by a potential no-show for the Rev. I've had my Wednesdayton. :D

Well, it sounds resonable and a hell of a lot of functionality going on for just one controller.

not sure what to think of the screen on top of it, Iwata at one point said there won't be a (touch) screen on the controller. But I don't have a source for that right now.

Holy shit. That actually is the first Revolution controller document that appears legit to me. If genuine, looks like a study of the various options they have been considering at some point in time to the controller. Nothing crazy in there, as expected.

Only thing that bothers me is the bulks of blurred text without headlines, could be Lorem Ipsum Dolor for all I can tell.

If nothing else, whoever made this knows how R&D study exec summaries look like.

PS: If real, tears are falling on Dr Gakman's keyboard - didn't finish his final drawing yet
 
The document looks scanned with some crappy ORC or something :/ could mean a couple of things

- fake as hell
- someone covering up for him / herself

also, for simplicity in design, this doesn't fit Nintendo very well, there is a SHITLOAD of buttons and gadgets on that thing. it's like a swiss army knife.

Wasn't there a very similar DS leak sometime in Feb 2004 which was a PDF of a crappy scanned document and detailed stuff like touch screen?
