I really don't think it's far fetched to think that Metal Gear is indeed coming to the 360. As someone earlier stated HD gaming does not have the massive install base that they would have liked, so it makes common business sense to have an IP increase its market share by going multi-platform. Of course "common business sense" is not always in tune with "common fanboy sense."

In the end its all about the green. Money that is. :D

Yeah or some other sort of spinoff methinks on the 360 are the only real possibilities...I mean Konami wouldn't just lie to people would they? Would they?

Hopefully they put some kind of timer up soon or this could rival some of Gaf's longest threads.

I don't get all the RRoD jokes, are we going back in time? It has not been an issue for a long time now.

Use something like you will not be able to hear the game of the jet engine noises emanating from the DVD player at least.

of course you can now install the the HDD to fix that :p

Whatever platform it turns out to be for, i hope it's a full game of Act 1/Act 2 MGS 4 gameplay. So disappointed on how MGS 4 went after act 2. :(

I have a theory.
We all know Kojima wanted Snake's story arc to end with MGS4, so if this is indeed a new chapter we're supposed to play as a new character.
So, being Otacon an otaku, and being MGS set in the USA, we can all agree it's some sort of reference to American superhero comics.
And what American superhero is green? The obvious answer is Hulk.
So, we'd be supposed to think the new main character will be Hulk.
Right? Wrong, you fell right in Kojima's trap: there's a red Hulk now.
And this is the subtle hint: green that turns red, just like the 360 RRoD.
And how many red lights are there when your 360 dies? Three.
Put all those hints together and you have MGS Triology on the 360.

To be fair, wishing for a game to come to your console so you can play it (And not spend hundreds in the process) is a hell of a lot less pitiful then wanting a game that's already released to stay exclusive for no reasons outside of fandom.

That aside, I'm still rooting for a Next Gen remake of Metal Gear. Personally don't give a shit what it's released for, I'll buy it no matter what :D

Good point.

Although there are a few that don't give a shit about the game and still root for a port just to troll PS3 owners. But that's to be expected too.
