dudes this is driving me nuts. ive been looking for this song for the past few days. i'm not really sure how to describe it other than it sounds like a late 80's/early 90-s song. there is a saxaphone at the beginning and it goes

"do dodo bo do da da daaaaaa... do do do dodo daaaaaah" and then it has like some kind of disco-style "DEEEEW" in the background. there is also a guitar solo somewhere in it i believe.

also i heard it mocked on howard stern last week. the guy went

"Bah bah bah bah bah boooooeyyyyy, ba ba ba baba booey!"

anyone have any idea what song this is? it has no words (to my knowledge)

Why can't you just type the lyrics into google?

;)

Seriously though, there were only a handful of very popular instrumentals in the 80's-early 90's that I can recall, most notably Herbie Hancock's synth work for the Beverly Hills Cop series, Chariots of Fire, the instrumental theme to St. Elmo's Fire (which I LOVE), and Kenny G's stuff. What kinda sound is it? You said it had a "disco-ey" sound in the background, but what does that mean? What is the tempo like?

the song itself isn't discoey, but there is a little sample in the background that reminds me of disco music.

all i can really tell you in words is that it has a saxaphone at the beginning and throughout. it is pretty up-tempo

that's it! baker street is it. i guess it does have words... sorry dudes, i had never heard the words before and i've heard it a gajillion times. thanks ladies

I'm gonna go with Axel Foley as well. (And it's not Herbie Hancock, it's Harold Faltermeyer.)

You sure that Herbie Hancock didn't do the main "Beverly Hills Cop" instrumental theme? The one that goes "do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do do dooooo"? ;) :p

I love that song. :)
